Mingling at the Bazaar

Next to the Mall Hotel, a large bazaar sprawled out through the streets. Food stalls, jewelery stalls, plastic surgery stalls...might want to stay away from that last one. But since the bizaar was close by, it served as a good place for the crew to meet up and start their exploration of XaXing.

[[ooc: This is just a general mingling post guys, so jump in and start threads, tag into other people's, whatever you want!]]
livestoannoy: (Why yes I'm going to be sarcastic)

"Dude, I think this has got to be one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen. If you've got to go and squeal over something, at least do it for something cool, like a video game or the complete collection of Star Trek on DVD."

Sokka stares at Marco, a bit unsure.

"Why would I squeal over something like that? I mean, it's not very practical. Or useful. And what the heck is a DVD? Or a video game for that matter?"
livestoannoy: (Dude no way)

[personal profile] livestoannoy 2011-04-14 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
"No, but it's fun," Marco said, rolling his eyes. He appreciated practicality as much as the next guy, but that didn't mean that you cooed over it like a teenage girl. "And oh man, you haven't played any video games before? Do you at least have television? You have so got to try it out."

[identity profile] theregularguy.livejournal.com 2011-04-14 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
". . .Television?" This is a strange word for Sokka.

"Never heard of it. And fun is great and all but when you have to provide for your tribe, it kind of has to take a back seat to other stuff."
livestoannoy: (Sorry?)

[personal profile] livestoannoy 2011-04-14 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
"We are so gonna have to find you one," Marco said, looking around to see if there might just happen to be a random television stall around somewhere. "Uh-huh, but where exactly is this tribe that you have to provide for now, and why aren't they eating gloop like the rest of us?"

[identity profile] theregularguy.livejournal.com 2011-04-14 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
"They're not here, but that's not the point! Besides. Knives are fun." How can anyone not like knives? He looks up and down the row of stalls, not sure what exactly he's looking for.

"Anyway, I'll take the blue bag. And the knife." He forks over his credits.
livestoannoy: (Ax they're everyone's minutes)

[personal profile] livestoannoy 2011-04-14 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
"As long as you're not on the other end of them," Marco said dryly. Knives weren't exactly Marco's idea of 'fun'. No, he liked his fun to not include deadly weapons that could seriously maim or kill you. "It's about time. I thought you were going to spend the next few hours deciding."

[identity profile] theregularguy.livejournal.com 2011-04-15 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"I guess. They're tools, really. Not like they make the best weapon except in more. . .uh. . .dire circumstances." He pocketed his new purchase and slung his bag over his shoulder.

"They just take respect and practice. It's like hunting or something. Sure it has the potential to be dangerous, but you just have to go with it," Sokka paused, eying Marco as if unsure of what he was trying to prove.

". . .So what if I had?"
livestoannoy: (Yes I am laughing at you)

[personal profile] livestoannoy 2011-04-15 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sure, whatever," Marco shrugged. Tools he could appreciate, but with his ability to morph knives weren't exactly necessary. "Still not fun if you end up on the other end though."

Then Marco grinned, a kind of mischievous, smirking grin. "If you had, then I'd have had to walk away in disgust and you'd have to continue living in the sad, sorry state of not knowing what a video game is. Come on, there's an arcade around the corner. I'm going to introduce you to real fun."

[identity profile] theregularguy.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course not." He's kind of used to it, sadly.

"Real fun. Right. I'm sure whatever these 'video games' are, they'll irrevocably change my life, right?" He hoists his new bag to one shoulder and moves to follow Marco.
