Time to Relax, or otherwise [Open Bathhouse post, all welcome!]

With the great help she had received from a good deal of interested crew members, the construction and upgrade to the bathhouse had proceeded rapidly and smoothly. The second more open floor looked as much a part of the bathhouse as any other, with enough room and supports to easily allow crew members as large if not larger than herself to access and utilize the second floor just as easily as any other. The second floor itself could be accessed from both within the bathhouse itself or from a set of stairs along the side of the building, a path now leading easily around from the front to show the way to this side entrance.

With the announcment of the completion and reopening of the Bathhouse sent around the comms. Celena padded through the hallways, touring all of the various baths, private, segregated or otherwise to ensure that all were in top working order for any who may wish to use them. Once she was sure that everything was in top condition and the water flowing properly in all cases she set out the open sign.

((ooc: Feel free to mingle around, relax, and have a party if your so inclined. Just start a subthread with your character's location and have fun. For reference there are individual showers in front, followed by hot tubs centrally located, saunas further back, and private baths along the side. The showers, tubs, and saunas have smaller sex-segregated units along with a central group unit that's larger. The second level spans the majority of the bathhouse with both individual rooms and areas with the heating pads as well as open areas one can relax and look out over the surrounds))

Upper level - Patio area overlooking entrance

It was about time to put these heating pads to the test, what better one to use than one overlooking the entrance, padding onto the heated sand she set lay herself down in the large heated area. Just the right temperature to relax, forelimbs crossed over one another as she overlooked the bathhouse and the entrance through the open railing, if anyone wanted to speak with her it wouldn't be too hard to find her.

Speaking with a dragon has been on her list of priorities since learning from Zouichi about her, so Roxanne is one such person. Picking her way in that direction once she'd spotted her, Roxanne came right up near the dragon.

"Excuse me? Are you Celena?"

Even as relaxed as she may have seemed, it wasn't hard for her to notice Roxanne's approach. Her long neck swinging around to regard the reporter briefly with a smile before dipping her head to her in greetings.

"Hmm? That would be I. I don't believe we've met, how can I help you?" She replied with an easy, pleasant and interested manner. She was always interested in getting to know more of the people aboard, and here was an opportunity in itself.

Roxanne pauses a respectable distance away, inclining her head in acknowledgement. She can't exactly shake the dragons hand, but she can certainly make do with what she's got.

"No, we haven't - I'm Roxanne Ritchi." She smiles, impressed. "An...acquaintance of mine, Zouichi, mentioned there was a dragon on board and, well..." She looks sheepish.

"I had to find you. I've never seen anything like you."

Water. Real water. Shiori really needed this as she wrapped a towel around herself in traditional manner before padding over to the women's side. She let her hair out of the ribbon and with a grateful sigh, sunk into the water's edge.

After the minor kerfluffle which hopefully hadn't gotten to Negi yet, Shiori was content with relaxing, and trying to de-stress a little with a hot bath.

Leaning back, she sighed happily as the hot water began to work its magic, curing her ails with the steaming liquid, listening to the rush of the water from nearby pools.

Asuna definitely wouldn't tell Negi about what had occurred, since she knew that he didn't approve of his students getting in trouble. But spending time at the bathhouse would definitely help lift her spirits after finding out distressing news concerning someone she knew.

That's why she was already making her way to the women's side, carefully sinking into the water while her towel was near the edge.

The sloshing of water and the padding of feet on tile alerted Shiori and she cracked a eye open. Immediately her cheeks went several shades of red as she squeaked. "H-hime-sama! I um... what a surprise... to... see you here... of all places...!"

"...First of all, it's Asuna, and second even I need a little downtime!" Asuna's eyes had widened in surprise upon seeing the other girl near her, her own cheeks flushed crimson.

Zouichi slid into the water with a sigh. It had been quite a while since he'd been able to actually enjoy a hot bath, and after the events involving KAIN, he supposed he was long overdue. There didn't appear to be many people around yet, but that was fine. He closed his eyes for a moment, simply enjoying the temperature and the slow, steady steam coming off the surface of the water.

Ildraniath slid into the water with hardly a ripple or a splash and she let har arms settle over the edge of the pool she had chosen. Her sword and pistol she'd brought with her, resting just within arm's reach. She was cautious (some would say paranoid), but she did not intend to be caught defenseless.

Not that she was completely defenseless, even unarmed, but it gave her a sense of security. It was childish, churlish and she chided herself for it - but kept the weapons all the same. She sunk a bit deeper into the water, immersing herself up to her chin.

She deserved a slight taste of relaxation and home. Even for a moment.

Well... she's probably not getting it.

The water's surface shivered for a bit before the armed, armored figure of the Blood Knight burst upwards to a standing position in the pool. Armored as in still in full plate, with water pouring off in rivulets down the metal as he gulped in a deep breath.

"No monsters!" he said, sounding almost disappointed. "I was sure there was something more to this than it seemed."

Ildraniath stared at him for a moment, a rather blank expression on her features. Her hand found her shuriken pistol.

"...why would they put monsters in a space meant for relaxation?"

She didn't seem too bothered by the fact that she was nude.

For the most part, things had been silent for Irma and with the bathhouse reopened, Irma decided to make use of the baths to relax a bit.

Things still felt awkward around her and her friends, especially with what was going on. Maybe a nice long bath would help take those troubles away. Not caring about her modesty (hey, she was in the girls side, what could go wrong?), she made her way into the baths and slipped into the water, relaxing.

As luck would have it, a cup next to where Irma was soaking herself had an occupant -- one Reinforce Zwei who seemed even tinier than usual as she buried herself in a cup like it was a heated drum. But still, the girl was sighing blissfully as she soaked alongside Irma.

"This is the life~" sighed Rein happily.

Irma couldn't help but chuckle at her tiny companion. By this time, she's used to it all.

Nima IS paying attention to whether or not the other bathers are wearing bathing clothes or not, partially for the ogling, partially just to determine if her nudity is culturally acceptable here or not. Usually it is in the Four Nations, but occasionally you come across a village where things a nomad would usually take for normal are considered the height of bad taste, and people get so upset about their etiquettes.

The young woman slips into the warm water, attending as she does to the sensations in her joints, muscles, and the flow of her own energy at the temperature change . . . and glancing around to see if she can spot anyone curious about this chance to see just how far her tattoos go.

He wasn't particularly looking for anyone in here, but by chance and sheer foul luck, somehow Zouichi had made eye contact with one of his fellow bathers while idly scanning the area. And of course that fellow bather had to be a naked woman. Of course.

"Hello," he said, now that it would be impolite to pretend he didn't see her. If he'd known clothes were optional here, maybe he'd have picked a more private bath.

If Nima picks up on Zouichi's discomfort, she doesn't mention it.

"You know you can look if you like," she says, humor infusing her smile. "If I minded, I wouldn't have taken my clothes off."

Kaya's meet with Lord Zedd had not gone exactly as she had planned, and maybe that was a good thing: she could have seriously been hurt, or had security called on her. Of course, she would make sure security was aware he was making threats to Billy, but Billy had more or less notified people about Zedd being on the ship.

Besides, now was not the time to think about that anyway. She wanted to relax now. Kaya hardly paid any attention to the signs: where she was from, you stripped down and relaxed wherever you could. So Kaya carefully undid her hair, made she to wash off any access filth and undressed, then went into one of the springs herself. It was seldom she did this alone, but for right now, she liked the quiet, the tranquility and closed her eyes, drifting off a moment.

And then she opened her eyes and saw the airbender. She was definitely surprised, and actually was looking to see how far the tattoos went.

Hey, she was curious.

It's impolite to airbend too much in an area where people are wet and likely to get cold, so Nima opts to swim over instead.

"How are you? It's good to see you again."

She reaches for the other girl's hands underneath the water, to squeeze them in greeting.

Modesty? What's that? Not among Chase's virtues.

As soon as he heard about the bathhouse (and had it highlighted on his map long enough to note it with the recent announcement - one of those problems with illiteracy) he headed straight there.

With exploring, starting a rock band, getting some, mucking around in engineering and everything else he could do to get acclimated, this was much needed. Plus, of course, clothing optional is always a great way to meet people.

He's found himself a spot out in the main area, just lounging for the moment and seeing who shows up. Noting both the airbender, and the waterbender, he settles in near there, admiring the scenery, and generally being approachable, but trying to make sure he doesn't end up cockblocking Nima either if she sees something she likes.

Nima would say immodesty is prime among Chase's virtues.

When she's mostly finished talking to Kaya, she swims over to Chase and slides into his arms to rest her cheek on his chest, like a pillow. There she gives a sigh of contentment and sinks into the warmth of the water, and the comforting sound of a heartbeat.

"This is a nice place. It's so relaxing."

Co-ed, FURTHEST BATH FROM OTHERS POSSIBLE

Even with the new level of paranoia he'd attained since meeting their dear emperor of evil, Billy was somewhat consciously aware that he needed to relax at times. The invitation from Celena to visit the renovated bathhouses was a perfect opportunity to do three things: 'relax', strategize, and test the enhancement to his personal morphing device.

The Power Morphers, you see, were now waterproof!

Billy was rather relieved to have that addition at the moment. With Lord Zedd around, no place was completely safe for him. Best, he thought, to trick the enemy into believing he was unarmed by hiding the morpher underwater---under the towel over his lap, to be more precise. The weight on his leg was a comfort to him. It was also best to bathe as far from the others as possible, reducing the collateral damage if he was attacked in the bath.

He made a vain attempt at releasing some of his tension, pressing his back against the heated wall. But those thoughts of every scenario of doom wouldn't be banished so easily. Time to wait, think, see, and soak, but never time to let his guard down completely. Any moment could be the difference between peace and a booming noise signaling imminent danger.

Billy wouldn't miss that moment when it happened. His fingers were curled around the morpher, ready to act at a moments' notice.

What do you mean, tension and imminent danger, the only danger coming at you right now was Lash doing one of her patented Lash Waterbombs(tm) into the body of water.

You know, if you weren't sure the morphers weren't waterproof, this was totally the best way to test them.

That danger (well, the sound of it anyway) is enough to scare Billy. Even before she's fully in view, he's halfway to his feet with the morpher thrust in front of him. Those footballs and that noise---it could be a putty, right?

"Tricera---"

...oh, it's just Lash, he realizes, sinking back into the water with a new coat of it splattered on him.

"...tops. Good morning Lash." Someone's replacing the towel on his lap and looking none too happy.
