trans_9 | Time to Relax, or otherwise [Open Bathhouse post, all welcome!]

With the great help she had received from a good deal of interested crew members, the construction and upgrade to the bathhouse had proceeded rapidly and smoothly. The second more open floor looked as much a part of the bathhouse as any other, with enough room and supports to easily allow crew members as large if not larger than herself to access and utilize the second floor just as easily as any other. The second floor itself could be accessed from both within the bathhouse itself or from a set of stairs along the side of the building, a path now leading easily around from the front to show the way to this side entrance.

With the announcment of the completion and reopening of the Bathhouse sent around the comms. Celena padded through the hallways, touring all of the various baths, private, segregated or otherwise to ensure that all were in top working order for any who may wish to use them. Once she was sure that everything was in top condition and the water flowing properly in all cases she set out the open sign.

((ooc: Feel free to mingle around, relax, and have a party if your so inclined. Just start a subthread with your character's location and have fun. For reference there are individual showers in front, followed by hot tubs centrally located, saunas further back, and private baths along the side. The showers, tubs, and saunas have smaller sex-segregated units along with a central group unit that's larger. The second level spans the majority of the bathhouse with both individual rooms and areas with the heating pads as well as open areas one can relax and look out over the surrounds))

Kaya grinned. Really, it was hard to feel upset or achy when there was an airbender around, especially ones like Aang and Nima. She swam over to meet her and touched her hands lightly.

"Same here, I'm sorry we didn't get to talk much! We had a little run in with a firebender who reminded us too much of worse days, so it got hectic. Also, I'm sort of a stranger to the guys right now, so you know, stress here and there."

She looked at Nima's distinct lack of clothes. "Let me guess: the air nomads weren't a modest bunch, huh?"

"A firebender? How many people from the nations are here, anyway?"

She'd been starting to think they were few and far between, and yet there seems to be a decent amount . . .

As for worse days and firebenders, Kaya is probably talking about that war that Nima has temporally avoided, and she's happy not to discuss it too much. Nudity's a much nicer topic of conversation.

"Once you've seen one human body, why be surprised by another? There are only so many variations on them." She kicks her feet gently in the warm water. "Besides, doesn't the warm water feel nice without clothes getting in the way?"

Kaya's a waterbender - surely she has some particular observations on the feeling of water.

"Well, there's Zuko, Mai and Azula, Fire Nation, myself and Sokka from the Water Tribe, Aang , obviously air nomad, and we had Toph from a little while, from the Earth Kingdom. So right now, six, or seven if you want to count Appa, Aang's bison."

Here she laughed. "Of course I agree with you: normally one doesn't come naked to the co-ed part, since there are equally bashful men as well as women. I guess the only thing that could be negative from this is a reputation."

Nima finds this funny. "What are we going to get a reputation for? Having breasts?"

However, naming the other Four Nations citizens gives her pause. "I've met all of them except Zuko . . . is Azula the girl in the prison?"

"Some people here are more uptight than others," Kaya said. "They'd think we were, I don't know, inviting guys to come look at us or something. Me, I just enjoy a nice bath without clothes and relaxing after."

She grimaced a little here. "Yes, that would be Azula. The one person that WOULD bring us all together."

"But I am doing that."

Beat.

"Well, I like a nice bath, too, but I do want the men to look. I want to look at them too. So I probably don't have to worry about getting the wrong reputation, if I keep doing this."

Her good cheer at the thought of other attractive naked people is dulled somewhat by the logical conclusions about Azula.

"She's from your time, isn't she? Where my people have been wiped out. Aang told me."

Kaya actually looked completely take aback. "Oh," she said. "Well, its not my reason. Living in the Water Tribe, you're not really going to be stripping down nude. When you're following the Avatar though, nude baths are kind of a must, where you can find it. I guess I just got used to it."

She wondered why Nima would do something like this, deliberately choosing to ensnare men this way. Was sex really like spiritual, as she had described before? She had to admit, she was a little curious about that.

Her face hardened. "Yes. A bad memory of what the Fire Nation does, at least that family: they warp and twist the good in people for their own amusement. Zuko and his mother and Iroh, they were the good ones. And sadly, the fire nation military followed that way. It's sad, we all had to suffer because of greed and ambition. And Azula brings that out in people, even now. I've never seen Mai want to end someone so badly."
