Gone fishing [Open]
It was, all things considered, a pretty good day. Sokka had decided to take the day off and spend the day doing something he loved: fishing. He wasn't sure if there were actually any fish in the river that ran through the city now, but that wasn't really the point. The point was that he had a body of water and a stick with a piece of line that was baited with a worm. He was happy to sit beneath the artificial sun, hat pulled over his eyes and stick held easily in his hands as he idled the day away. True, he could have done this in the Sensoriums but that wouldn't be the same. Real water was just more satisfying. And maybe he'd go for a swim later.
All in all it was shaping up to be a pretty good day.

"It's so... dull."

"It's dull. Boring. Normal. You don't worry about anything. You just enjoy yourself."

She sees a kid fishing in the river and, whistling "Don't Worry Be Happy" and thinking of those stupid novelty singing fish, wanders over. She breaks the melody to ask "caught anything yet?"
no subject
"I don't think there's actually anything to catch in there, to be honest."

Sakura slowed down, momentarily nostalgic for earlier years, when she and friends had been the ones fishing by the side of some of the smaller creeks and rivers around Konoha. There shouldn't be anything to catch, not out here. At least not in the water.

Not that she needed the excuse of fishing to go see and glomp her older brother. She'd missed him.
"How are you?"
no subject
"I'm doing alright. Trying to keep busy, not go nuts. The usual. How about you?"
no subject
"I guess I can't argue with you there," Katara said, grinning. "Training with the Outsiders, looking after some friends, meditating, things like that. Trust me, I keep busy!"
And she did. Really, it was a wonder she had any time to herself.
"Actually, if you want to see something pretty amazing, you ought to pop over to the Hydroponics bay. There's all of these different alien creatures there. It's where my dog Zhin usually stays, when she's not with me!"

Marco was pretty damn sure that there were no fish in this river.
So when he wondered by Sokka, he was looking pretty amused. "Ah, trying to catch the illusive Invisible Fish, I see. Good luck with that."
no subject
"Which is extra hard because you can't see it."

Fresh out of morning training with Hiccup - or rather, morning making-Hiccup-run-until-he's-bored-himself-into-shape - Zuko flops down on the grass next to Sokka.
"What's going on?"
Whatever it is, it looks peaceful.

"How you doing, Jerk Lord?"
no subject
"Fine, I guess."
The coronation didn't enhance his communicative skills much.
"You?"

"You're not sleeping, are you?" he asked, coming up from behind. "It would be awfully difficult to catch a fish with your eyes closed."
