The Sacred City
After the crew finished up with the Rituals of Judgement and Joining, they were permitted to enter the city proper.
Orongo was even more impressive than it appeared from outside the wall. Despite the primitive seeming architecture, the city was alive with lights and sounds and colors. The numerous stone buildings were covered in bright paints in beautiful swirling designs, each one a unique piece of art. People milled about the city in droves, many of them various examples of random alien species, though there were quite a few Moai and knee-high Rapa Nui moving about.
The priests that directed them into the city indicated to them to the Consummation Huts, where they would be spending the night, regardless of whether they chose to use them to their...eh hem...full potential, or not.
As they entered the city, each of them got the same message from Stacy.
||You will be spending the night in the city as per the Moai's instructions. Arrangements have been made to meet with the Moai Elders in the morning. For now, you are given leave to explore the city as you wish. I have transferred each of you an allowance of credits to purchase supplies or entertainment tonight.||
||Do try to have fun.||
[ooc: And they're off! Feel free to have them explore. You can also start doing open posts on-planet now, if you want. Have fun!]

Astrid hefted the mirror secured under her arm once more, taking up the ticky thing, she turned it in her hands with mild interest. Poking and prodding, even giving it a slight, brief shake. Don't break it before you buy it, Astrid.
"Y'sure you want it when you don't even know what it does?" He might have to ask someone.
no subject
That'd be a yes.

boyfriendwants."And judging by that curious gleam in your eye, Hiccup, she'll personally volunteer to hold on to this. You nearly dropped their merchandise just a second ago, and you can't be distracted when they're not done here.
"Pay 'em." He can still manage that, can't he.

"How much longer do you want to shop? I'm running out of arms."
And they weren't the most strong ones to start with.

Without giving him an answer, Astrid rubbed her chin, stopping somewhere new, and absently regarded a lovely blanket of sorts. "Hm."
Running a hand down the fabric, she opted to dawdle in a bit of chat, "What's your favorite color? What kind of food did you like at home?"
no subject
He liked bright colors. Made him think of sunshine and flowers and those warm summer months when they weren't all nearly freezing their bits off.
"Purple's not bad, either."
Hiccup shifted the parcels in his arms again.
"And I wouldn't turn down any sour herring right now, but I doubt they'd have that. Do you think they might have some dried fruit?"
no subject
As for the fruit. "We can look around for some," she suggested.
no subject
Okay, he really had to stop that. He had to stop.
"Uh. Okay."

Leading the way per usual on this outing of theirs, Astrid paused, lifting her chin, and looked at the sky. Night was approaching, wasn't it. "After..."
"After we find dried fruit... we'll go to the huts," she said, voice genuinely serious.

Just sleep. That was all they were doing, right? Despite all her very confusing body language and doing things like licking his lips, that was all he really expected. It wasn't like they were actually married.
