Till Death (or Liftoff) Do Us Part

Once Domalai made sure the crew was fully informed of what was expected of them in the upcoming rituals, he showed them over to where the Rituals of Judgement and Joining would be performed.

As they neared the gate that led into the city of Orongo, they could see many other people milling about, waiting for their turn to undergo the rituals themselves. The crew, of course, being a special case, are moved to the front of the line. Thankfully, everyone seems to be in a good enough mood that no one puts up a fuss about it.

The first area they were brought to had a simple stone circle, around which were three smaller circles. Two Moai priests were waiting there as they approached, and Domalai moved over to join them before speaking up.

Her markings lightly rippled in amusement at the size difference, as little as it mattered to them both. Dragon and elf, yet alike in many ways. Her gaze down on the elf she had come to respect and admire even as the priests chanting began.

Lights not unlike those of their respective judgment ceremonies forming and flowing about them both, intertwining with one another as they flowed around the pair, Celena though only spared them but a parting glance as she smiled down to Aibghalien. Leaning her snout down she gave the lightest brush of the tip of her snout to his forehead.

He leaned into the touch, eyes closed, and -- proving just how caught up in the moment he was -- completely failed to conduct even a simply visual observation of the phenomena surrounding them. His attention was entirely on the ceremony, and her.

Her own eyes soon drifted closed as she held that touch gently, her attentions solely focused on him. Letting the ceremony go on near unnoticed to them both as they held there together.

Before too long the lights slowly faded, the ceremony complete. Whether this was noticed by either of them was another matter.

It took a minute, certainly, before he opened his eyes and straightened his neck to break the physical contact between them.

"Well," he said a little hoarsely, smiling. "I guess we can go into the city now, huh?"

Once she felt him move she slowly drew her head back enough that she could gaze down to him with a warm smile.

Celena gave a soft happy chuckle as she smiled down to him, slowly moving to her feet before offering a paw to help him stand, "We can indeed," she replied easily, she couldn't help but smile at the thought of their joining.
