Stacy's voice came over the comm, blaring across the entire ship.

The mouth in the main sculpture on Obs Deck opened, revealing a screen with the image of a mottled blue and purple planet, rotating slowly.

Planet Designation: Gondepetil
Status: Terrestrial, H-class. Mass slightly larger than most Earths.
Non-sentient life: Extensive flora and fauna.
Semi-Sentient Life: Yes.
Sentient Life: Yes.
Water: 88% of the planet's surface.

Climate: Similar to Earth's Mediterranean climate. Warm but hospitable.  [Click here for cultural equivalents for non-Earth cultures.]
Landscape: Short trees and scrubs. Most mountains are plateaus, terrain is hilly and rocky on 65% of the land surface.
Air: Normoxic concentration: 25% oxygen, 65% nitrogen, 5% xenon, 5% trace gases, such as hydrogen, neon, krypton, and argon.

Air Pressure: 17.02 pounds per square inch. Heavier than ship's air pressure, but breathable.
Sky: Blue/purple with silver clouds.
Sun: A class G2V, yellow star. The planet is unusually close to its sun, but its ozone layer is fully capable of filtering out harmful radiation.

Mission: Spiritual elders of the local inhabitants are in possession of an artifact of great importance to the war against the Ohm. The crew will participate in the inhabitants' rituals of judgment and joining to enter the region known as the Sacred Mount, where the artifact is being stored. The crew is to negotiate with the spiritual elders to acquire this artifact. The crew is expected to comply with any of their demands in order to successfully complete negotiations.

Time for another mission, then.

"Beats me," Hit Girl said, noticing the afro kid.

"Still trying to figure that part out. Wanna help with that?"

"Sure." She looked over the mission part and let out audiable groan. "What negotiations, awwww..."

Hit Girl shrugged. "Well. I got nothing better to do, you know. Might as well see what they're talking about. Joining and all of that shit. Beats staying on the ship and talking about useless crap like voted in people."

"Politics aren't really more forte," she admitted. "Better be below than watch the ones above get shuffled and all of that."

She shrugged. "I don't really see a use for council members and that shit anyway, except for keeping people calm. This is actually the kinda stuff I live for. So what are you gonna do when you're on the planet."

"What else? Blow things up and hope they explode spectacularly. At least if we're allowed to," she sighed. "I guess you gotta play by the rules and all..."

Hit Girl shrugged. "Maybe. If I get to explode some stuff, why not? I could be up for destroying something. Better than being bored.

"What have you been up to?"

"The usual. Tampering in the sensoriums, helping with engineering, polishing my zord, working on the zord, doing the whole crime fighting thing without any actual crime to fight for. Technically. Maybe this will help, but if it's diplomatic then...well..not my cup of tea."

"Wait a minute...you're one of those power rangers huh?" Hit Girl actually looked pretty impressed. "Well, it might not start out exciting, but I hear that might actually change. I mean, the last time we tried to have a shore leave the Ohm attacked, from what I hear. Who knows if this won't be the same thing?"

You know it wasn't a good train of thought that she should be having but..oh what the hell.

"With any luck! I could use the exercise. What about you? What have you been doing?"

Aw, says who? Hit Girl was all about fighting, and had been doing as much the last few days.

"Hitting some major training with the Overlord and Ruffnut," Hit Girl answered. "That, and I've been doing a little magic learning, but that's a little harder. I'm starting to be able to incorporate both though, which is pretty cool."

Yes well most people thought about things like puppies and goodwill and all of that. Not these fine young ladies, however!

"Overlord..." Oh right that giant floating book. Ruffnut she couldn't remember. "I didn't know you could use magic!" Barely a year ago and she would have told you magic was dumb and stupid and didn't exist. How things changed.

Nope, definitely not about puppies and goodwill. Crushing, smashing and maiming, however, Hit Girl was an expert in.

"Yeah, the book that boasts a lot. Pretty good teacher though, make no mistake. Learned a lot from him. But the magic thing is new: I'm learning it to help supplement my fighting abilities. You can never be too strong, right?"

Sounded right up to the stuff Lash liked too.

"He confused me a lot," she admitted. "Couldn't catch half of what he was saying. As for getting stronger, I definitely agree. There's enough enough lasers on anything, tee hee hee!"

"Well, he can get that way sometimes: half the time he talks like he's coming straight out of a video game. But he definitely knows his stuff, and me and Ruff have gotten stronger thanks to him."

Oh, a gun girl? Awesome.

"I never handled lasers before, but they sound pretty bad ass. I stick to my glocks and the Overlord's guns mostly."
