Double Header [Open Like Whoa]

It was a mutual decision that Rein and Ed would be passing customers back and forth between each other. Everyone liked clothing and people liked trinkets being made right? As thus being said, they had put up banners and a nice post with "Atelier Elric" <--- and "Stormwind Clothiers" ---> scribbled on it in fancy Crannagan script. Perfectly legible by anyone who knew at least English.

It was here both were getting ready for receiving customers and it was hoping that they would come and use their businesses wisely.

(ooc: easy enough. Put either Ed or Rein in the subject line so I know who you want, and they'll get something created for you, either it be trinkets/small items/etc or clothing. Both have cookies so drop on by. Repeat customers are certainly welcome.

"That is a lot to take in," Hit Girl said, again realizing this was something that Ruffnut would have had a problem with. All of this magic was something that took some used to, but the more she started to hear about it, the more she knew that she was going to have to get Negi to start her on this magic training. It would be important.

"In that case, I'm going to have to find out what my abilities are soon," she said, half to herself. "If I'm too weak to utilize something like Divine Buster or whatever, fine, but I have to make use of what I've got. I may just be a human, but I'm a New Yorker: we don't lay down, we adapt."

"Yep," said Rein. "And even if you can't cast a Divine Buster, just keep trying. There's a lot of spells that are better suited for more wide range attacks like Crossfire Shoot and the like. Read over the list and give the recommended highlighted ones a try."

"I would get used to shifting to Shooting Mode as well," said Rein. "And if you're learning from someone, get them to see if they can't adapt their spells to your weaponry."

"Oh I'll be doing that. I'm pretty good with shooting, at least when it comes to guns. I'll be sure to have a look over that list though: I'm going to need whatever help I can get, and I'm not stopping even I can't do one or two moves."

She nodded. "The Overlord's training ought to help with that stuff."

"Zetta is pretty efficient when he wants to be," agreed Rein, having seen his handiwork from a distance. "I'm sure you wanted to move and cast at the same time so keep that in mind. And since you're talking about Negi a lot, get him to show you that nifty flash-step of his. Even I have trouble with that."

"I'll do that," she said, "in both instances. I need all the help I can get."

She paused. "Um, if there's anything you need from me in the future, let me know ok? No one is usually ever this awesome without asking for something in return. I'm really not used to it."

Rein nodded. "I'd like that. Oh when Negi gets you learning, I'd like to teach you how to do telepathy so we can talk more, and I can tutor you from afar. It's the most basic skill in a mages' arsenal, being able to tell someone something from a distance."

She nodded, although the idea of doing telepathy was already rocking her mind. Where WAS this Rein girl from anyway?

"Is it hard to learn?"

"Meh," replied Rein with a relaxed smile. "The very first lessons in magic school are to create light, and talk with your mind. Can't mind-read with it but you can chat for hours with someone. And later on, you can learn how to broadcast it to many people on a private telepathic channel."

She nodded. This was good stuff. WAY unexpected considering she was just a human dealing with all of this, but if she could actually get this far, why not try? The worst she could do is fail, and even then there'd be the barrier jacket and the Overlord's training, right?

If. That was a big one.

"I'll learn," she said. "No matter what it takes."

Rein grinned. "That's good to hear. I'll be rooting for you!"

"You'll do fine. I'll bet you that."

"Thanks," she said, grinning. "Until now, I figured the only one rooting for me would be Ruffnut. Hey, maybe she'll be in here soon, requesting something herself."

Though she doubted it would be the Barrier Jacket. Ruffnut wasn't one to copy others.
