Queries and Quibbles--mind your Q's

[ooc: Read this bit.]

Something happens outside the ship. There's a concussive noise like something docking, and then the doors to Obs open again, to reveal a mostly intact, but somewhat bedraggled away team. One of them is injured, and part of the group works to get her down to MedBay, some of the others look stoic and a touch upset with what they've learned.

Some look pissed off that their various morphers and power suits have been stolen away from them again by Stacy's tentacles or dampened.

Something happens INSIDE the ship. A handful of individuals are released from their pods after quite some time of running imaginary mazes.

"Oh snap, is that a new nickname I hear? I think it just might be."

Allen has found time to crack jokes as he helps Brainy hustle Leela along to the medical wing.

Once they're up in the ship again and everything has stopped moving Brainiac 5 quickly transfers Leela to another forcefield. He doesn't know if the cot supplied by Stacy can be moved from the deck and, to be honest, he doesn't have time to try. It's easier and faster to do things this way.

Since she still needs oxygen, he alters his hand and arm into a breathing mask, his own technology more than capable of filtering the air around him for the short trip. It's not a trick he does often, since it's largely for emergencies and the Legion dubbed it as 'gross' to have to breath through even a robotic limb. But it gets the job done and Leela can always complain about it later.

"Let's go."

she gasps, her voice echoing slightly in the mask. Far from grossed out, she gasps,

Brown eyes look up at Brainy, half-lidded and blurry with tears--not because she's sad or scared, it's the allergic reaction.

That's to Allen, too, but he should know she's grateful, and she can tell him again later. She'd already die for him. Brainy's a stranger, just helping her.

She owes him for this. She always pays back what she's owed--in sheer loyalty.

You've pretty much just made a friend for life, Brainiac.

That... isn't the kind of reaction he's used to. It's odd and strangely touching that Leela's more interested in thanking him and talking about his technology in spite, or maybe because, of her injury.

"I- You're welcome," he answers awkwardly. A slight smile touches his face as he looks up from monitoring his equipment to meet her eyes.

"You should save your breath though. You're going to be fine, but you shouldn't tire yourself out right now. You can always thank us later."
