Something happens outside the ship. There's a concussive noise like something docking, and then the doors to Obs open again, to reveal a mostly intact, but somewhat bedraggled away team. One of them is injured, and part of the group works to get her down to MedBay, some of the others look stoic and a touch upset with what they've learned.

Some look pissed off that their various morphers and power suits have been stolen away from them again by Stacy's tentacles or dampened.

Something happens INSIDE the ship. A handful of individuals are released from their pods after quite some time of running imaginary mazes.

Chekov's thoughts on metaship hospitality amuses Spock somewhat. If he's paying attention, he may just catch the flicker of a smile.

"Our captain is indeed a commanding officer aboard this vessel, but has accepted a subordinate position under captain Picard. From what he has told me, we are to believe he is a Starfleet officer from our future. Thus far his performance has not given cause to doubt that claim."

The first thing that popped into the youth's mind was Spock had regained control.. somehow. But when he mentioned this Picard fellow all Chekov could do was scowl slightly. "Do ve know zhis Picard?" Pavel asks slowly trying to gauge the older Spock to see if he was from their time. "I do not zhink the Kaptin likes not being zee.. kaptain much."

With a slight roll of his shoulders a warm smile was once again crossing his face before he glanced about the Obs Deck. "Zee Kaptain vas telling me zhere is another Kirk here? Vas it another singularity?"

"He demonstrated familiarity when I first arrived. It would appear that the Captain, Doctor McCoy and I have each encountered him in our respective futures. Though I cannot claim certainty, it is likely that as long as you remain a member of our crew you will eventually do the same."

He continues, "I have not had the time to consult with our captain on the matter, though he has shown willingness to assist this Picard in any way possible. His personal opinion on the matter remains to be seen."

Jim being a professional? Never!

"Indeed, There are two Kirks?" he places a hand on Chekov's shoulder, "It would appear that you are more enlightened than I in some matters, mister Chekov."

"Zat is vhat zee Kaptain told me. He is.. how do you say.. is from my time? Young." At the compliment he couldn't help but give a sheepish little blush and duck his head slightly. Getting compliments from, as McCoy so called him, 'the pointy ear bastard' were very rare. "Zhere is zee possibility zhat zee Kaptain has a plan. I vould dare say having zee two together vith zhis Picard may turn out... interesting."

"Vhat all do you know about zhis wessel, Commander? She is rather short vhen it comes to zee question and answer phase of zee welcome committee. How many people are here?"
