Crunch Time
Those heading to the sensorium after Commander Rahk's announcement would find themselves inside a rather technologically advanced looking base, a number of armored soldiers bustling about.
Rahk himself was there, standing in front of a command station with a large screen overlooking the waiting battlefield outside, which appeared to be the ruins of some advanced city. By the serious look on his face, he was certainly ready to get this test underway.
[ooc: tagging's open! get going!]
[ooc2: sorry for the confusion, the other sections are open for tagging too.]

Arrivals
Re: Arrivals
"Well," he starts, peering around the base that the Commander had brought up. "It certainly is very shiny."

Hikari shook her head. "As ready as we're going to be. Besides, this is just a simulation anyway. We fought the real thing before. And thanks to Negi I... well, yeah. I'm not going to be useless while you do the work this time."
Tailmon nodded. "... They still don't think we'll be able to do it."
Hikari shook her head. "There has to be SOME way of taking that Node out."

His gaze near instantly snaps to the view screens showing the battlefield, taking in all the information he could in these few moments before combat would be joined, the slightest of respectful dips of his head toward the commander.

Re: Arrivals
He frowned, though, reaching back to his holsters and pulling out his guns. He really wasn't a fan of the hi-tech stuff. With a small, defeated sigh, he spun them on his fingers and re-holstered them. He'd conjure up a pair of Plasma Pistols if he decided to stay on the defense.

He morphed, armed himself, and waited, hoping some teammates would happen by. They hadn't had much of an opportunity to discuss strategy beforehand, but they may be able to work something out now.

Space weapons or no, you can't beat a good old fashioned boomstick.

But would he be able to actually lead them that far? Well, he'd have to.
Time to do the job he was elected to do.

He looked at the screen, pausing at the sight. Wonder where 'at is, he said aloud. Or maybe was, I s'pose. It was better than letting himself get nervous.
Re: Arrivals
Looking around the base, Tsukasa started snapping photos, trying to kill time until the simulation began.
Re: Arrivals
Her eyes scanning over the crowd with a cheerful expression despite what may be riding on the coming simulation. With an idle detachment she watched and recorded the interactions amongst the crew even as she thought back on the crew's previous engagement with the Ohm. Should any approach her she would give them a small nod of greetings.
Re: Arrivals
So
COOL.
Pyro briefly considered using the shiny new toys the 'guests' brought, but in the end he decided to stick with a more familiar loadout: his flamethrower, Flare Gun and fire axe
and a silly hat. He knew from experience that the Ohm were highly flammable, and he was gonna go with what worked. Maybe he'd play with the new toys later. For now, though, it was time for a barbecue. While he waited, he played with his flamethrower, firing off some quick bursts of compressed air.Battle Stations!
All of a sudden, klaxons began to sound, and the simulated troops began running out through marked corridors. Large, flashing signs pointed the way to the battlefield.
Those following the soldiers outside would find Ohm Grunts and other Ohm troops pouring through the streets of a ruined, futuristic city towards the base they would be defending. Numerous entrenched defensive positions stood between the Ohm and the base, manned by simulated soldiers.
It was time to get to work.
Rogue Squadron
X-Wings were harder to handle in the atmosphere, but they'd work. And the cover fire would be needed.
<< Rogue Five, ready to rock. Let's do this. >>
< Are you certain this is wise? >
Sam flipped his engines on. < Wiser than you talking while I'm shooting. >

He hurried to move into position.
Re: Battle Stations!
"Considering the gifts our suits have gotten from our new visitors, we can hopefully break through the swarms to get the Node a little easier than our first encounter."
Command Center
Commander Rahk stood silently nearby as he watched the battle unfold.
Re: Command Center
"X-Wings off the ground," he reported, toggling to a skyview. Easier to get the lay of the land, literally. He wanted a better idea of where the Ohm were.

The Defenders
A massive wave of Grunts came hurtling forward, with Grenadiers (http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/101501265/27000243) and Shrikes (http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/101501449/27000243) following soon behind.
Re: The Defenders
It wouldn't do to lose precious ground this early in the battle. The crew would have to push back soon if they wanted to have any hope of winning.

Then they were there, and Trudy opened up all four of the X-wing's main guns.

Final Assault
"Attention, enemy Node has been located, I repeat, enemy Node has been located," one of the simulated intelligence officers at the command center blared through the comms.
One of the Bluestar Dropships, filled with two eight-man squads of GIA heavy troopers, dropped from the sky, setting down near the front lines. The eight nearest crew-members were alerted of it's position, with instructions to make their way to it.
Re: Final Assault
He reinforced his shields as he got closer, waiting on the others and getting a feel for the Node.
