The Sinking Feeling You Get When You Eat Magic Food

Welcome meatship crewmembers to the instrument of pure silly.

It had been a long period of waiting, but a prank was about to be issued after these dire dark times. As such, tables were set up around the WITCH Bus and other locations, unmanned stands where Lemonade and Brownies were available with the compliments of your friendly companions.

Do you dare risk chocolately goodness or sour-sweetness to discover it's dark delicious secrets?

(ooc: tag around, bug others and feel free to continue to madness. IC duration is about a day. Unless you deliberately take more with you. As a reminder, Lemonade brings you up ages to a good looking adultish level. Brownies turn you into kids. GO NUTS. Refer to the ooc post for details and ask questions there.)

"Did you want to see what we find?"

Billy is curious about this. It's a silly game, but the shapes mean different things to different people. And it's the kind of game he wouldn't be willing to try as a teenager.

"Of course I do," Katara said, waiting. "There are a lot of things I want to know. What are you thinking?"

She watched.

What's he thinking?

"...that one looks like a dolphin," Billy points, a small smile on his face. "There's a tail, and the nose, and the way it curves...or is it a banana?"

In between those observations, he speaks more seriously. "I've been preoccupied with this predicament. You say that it's temporary, but I've always trained myself to prepare for the worst---so in the event that this is permanent, I'll need to invent new ways to defend myself. I was imagining smaller weapons."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
A what now? Dolphin? Banana? What were those things? Still, she was sure he would explain all of that anyway. And what was cuter than a boy looking at clouds?

She laughed. "Of course you were. You always stayed prepared Billy. It's what I like about you. You don't let things like this drag you own. That is why I keep telling you that you ARE the leader power ranger, you know."

"Actually, the Red Ranger is traditionally the leader," Billy explained. "That's why it took me so long to decide who to hand that morpher to. I had to trust him, and I realized that Jamie would be the best leader. He's stronger on tactics, and I'm stronger on technology. I hope we can balance each other"

Billy leaned back, watching that cloud drift away. Why hadn't Katara said anything else? Now that he considered it, she looked confused. "Oh---your world didn't have those, right? Here," and he called up two objects. A tiny dolphin statue was in one of his hands, and a banana filled the other. "Dolphins are sea creatures, and bananas are fruit. The pulp underneath the peel is delicious."

He also wondered what she thought it looked like.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I figured that," Katara saiid. "I spoke with him about it not too long ago. He's pretty happy to be Red, and I think it suits him. But you ought to have figured out that I would see you as their mentor, if not their leader, because you're the one who's been here from that world. I think you'll balance each other pretty easily. Jamie is a really great guy."

Her eyes widened when she saw the dolphin, and held it for awhile. "It's a sort of animal underwater," she murmured. "Wow. I really wish we had creatures like this in my world."

She'd take his word for the banana thing.

She look at the clouds herself, settling down. "That looks like a fox antelope!" She said. "Ooh, and that one like a singing groundhog!:

That was enough to satisfy Billy. He stretched his arms out, careful to avoid hitting Katara.

"Would you like to see them in the water? In certain areas, it's popular to swim with the dolphins. They're friendly."

That last sentence startled him, though. He could see the fox, yes, but..."groundhogs sing?"

Please explain that one.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, they look at clous in her world all right: they just had different things.

"Oh, definitely!" Katara said, although it looked as if it would have to wait. Katara closed her eyes and the scenery changed to a dryer area devoid of grass, and also had a flute in her hand. She played a note and a singing groundhog popped out, mimicking trhe sound and promptly going back in its hole.

"A singing groundhog!"
morphitudinous: (Kid!Billy)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2010-11-19 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Billy agreed. "...when this is over, I'll go swimming with the dolphins with you."

Oh, the groundhogs did sing! He smiled at it. "I never thought I'd see that. Hey...look! I think that might be Stacy," he joked, pointing at an interestingly-shaped and massive blob of fluff.

If this was all he had to do before turning back, he wouldn't mind. But that was perhaps a little too optimistic.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Good," Katara said, smiling. "They really look like wonderful creatures. I'm a little sad we don't have them where I'm from."

She giggled at the idea of Stacy as a cloud. "No way!" she exclaimed, laughing. "Let me see it again!"

She hugged him to her, smiling. "You are an adorable kid Billy, just so you know!"
morphitudinous: (Kid!Billy)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2010-11-20 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Ever-eager to please, Billy drew that cloud up again. There it was, the big, almost sick-looking mass, though they hadn't seen Stacy's exterior often.

He blushed and burrowed into her side, trying to shake that off. "And I'm sure you've heard the others describe your beauty, Katara. I would, but I don't believe it would sound as I intended it coming from my present body."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
She watched, quiet for a moment. Of anything, this was a reminder that there was a lot of work for them to do. Stacy, in a sense, was damaged like they were, and needed to be healed somehow.

She patted Billy's head. "It doesn't matter what form you take Billy: I know that when you say something, I'm listening to you. You can say what you need to say. I'll know its you."
morphitudinous: (Kid!Billy)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2010-11-20 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, there was work ahead of them. Hopefully he'd be well enough to complete it.

Could he really tell Katara those things? She said he still had his mature mind, but she also loved to cuddle his child form. Mixed signals were so confusing.

"You're...beautiful, Katara. Not that you have to be, never, but...it's true."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Katara was a little startled at that from Billy. She was sure he was going to just evaluate how she adapted to her situations, not tell her something like this.

"Thank you Billy," she said, and she smiled. "In my own way, I think you are too. You believe in the good of people, and believe me, thinking like that is rarer than you think."
morphitudinous: (Kid!Billy)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2010-11-20 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
"I wish it wasn't so rare," Billy answered in a small voice, still curled close to Katara. Boy wouldn't this be an awkward time to change back.

"But I'll keep doing my part to improve things as long as you'll have me."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
"I know," she said, sighing. "There's a lot of things we can do to help each other along, but we avoid it because of being on this ship. There's so much we can be capable of, so much we could aspire to be! It wont just be like this."

She shook her head. "Billy? I could never get sick of you. Why would you say such a thing?"
morphitudinous: (Kid!Billy)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2010-11-20 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Billy agreed with that. "Maybe we can make it a little better for everyone somehow. I'm just not the expert in that field."

He sent a little assurance. "No, I know you won't, it's just how I phrase things...but are you sure you won't be sick of me?"

The last question is asked in a taunting tone with a slight smile, accompanied by small fingers moving to tickle her sides.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well who is really?" Katara asked. "We all have our own things to get over, we all have to worry about ourselves. The person who's going to pull us together is the one that has our best interests at heart."

Here, she whapped Billy on the head. "Now you're just...hee hee...stop that...being..ha ha ha!"

And now you have her captive. You suck Billy.

morphitudinous: (Kid!Billy)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2010-11-20 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, he does, does he?

Billy knew he only had a short time before Katara would see fit to retaliate, so he focused on wiggling his fingers over her stomach. He took full advantage of his 'adorable' face, smiling up at her as widely as he could.

"Sick of me yet?"

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-21 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"You're horrible!" Katara said in between gasps, trying to right herself so she could roll herself on top of Billy and pin him down. He really was making sure he took advantage of being all cute and adorable, which didn't help her in her current situation.

Especially when he stomach was so sensitive.

"No, but I am going to get you!" She said, finally wriggling free and tugging her friend to the ground, stomach first, and tickling his back.
morphitudinous: (Kid!Billy)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2010-11-21 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! Maybe there were some slight advantages to this problem after all. Seeing her laugh like this was almost worth the hassle.

Billy's thoughts quickly changed course when she took the upper hand, and in seconds he was wriggling and pounding the ground helplessly. With such a small surface area of skin, overwhelming him was easier.

"...hey! Okay, okay, I'm got!" But he wasn't about to give up, oh no. Any limbs not pinned down were directed toward attempts to keep tickling.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-21 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
She wasn't about to let him up easily, oh no, not after going for her weak spot! She adjusted her grip and kept him pinned down, but was noticing her grip was starting to loosen a little. Why was that?

Oh well. She still kept him down, tickling, her knee pressing a little down on his legs...and now she was noticing she was shrinking.

Uh oh. Looks like it was wearing down.
morphitudinous: (No pleasant dreams here)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2010-11-21 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
And now she was on his weak spot, his lower back, and justly so. Katara's relentless assault drew more and more laughter and squirming, helped along by the tingling he felt once more.

Age alteration was occurring again, he thought as his clothes became tight. Billy was thankful that he hadn't altered his outside and that they'd been set to adjust.

The laughs became deeper as well, reaching his normal pitch after about a half minute. And the growing stopped, thankfully leaving his body in its original state.

"...Tara," he wheezed, still trying to speak around the laughter. It would take him a second to readjust to his returned strength---his body had been altered more radically than hers. "Are you all right?"

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-11-21 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha, success! She was going to continue her assault when she realized she was shrinking a little: her hips narrowed again and her hair receded a bit back to its original length. She stopped for a moment, and Billy could clearly see something in her eyes: a regret that she hadn't stayed just a little longer, but one that she had still had fun with the time given.

Billy was reverting too, and once he was back, asked her if she was okay.

"Sure, I'm fine," she said, taking a breath. "Well that was new! I didn't mind that all too much, did you?"
morphitudinous: (Positive)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2010-11-21 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm glad it's over," he answered, looking back over his shoulder at her. "I suppose it wasn't entirely terrible, as I realized at the end, but it would have been difficult to function that way."

Now they just had some small matters to deal with. "Do you plan to let me up, or am I due more assault?" A small pause. "Choose carefully, the fate of our dolphin swim might depend on it."

Ah, so he might be trying a little hardball.
