The Sinking Feeling You Get When You Eat Magic Food
Welcome meatship crewmembers to the instrument of pure silly.
It had been a long period of waiting, but a prank was about to be issued after these dire dark times. As such, tables were set up around the WITCH Bus and other locations, unmanned stands where Lemonade and Brownies were available with the compliments of your friendly companions.
Do you dare risk chocolately goodness or sour-sweetness to discover it's dark delicious secrets?
(ooc: tag around, bug others and feel free to continue to madness. IC duration is about a day. Unless you deliberately take more with you. As a reminder, Lemonade brings you up ages to a good looking adultish level. Brownies turn you into kids. GO NUTS. Refer to the ooc post for details and ask questions there.)

Here though, it was OK to let him up: they'd had fun, and the truth was she really wanted to see those dolphins. "I think you know the answer to that," she said, "but let's do it at dusk!"
no subject
He got to his feet gratefully, then altered the scenery---a shoreline at dusk. Several dolphins leaped out of the water gracefully, seemingly beckoning them forward.
Billy took a minute to do some stretches, just to be sure that he was comfortable in his body again, then started to approach the waves. "When you're ready."
no subject
When the scenery changed though, she felt herself start to relax. It wasn't often she could relax in her own preferred surrounds, so this was definitely a treat. The dolphins seemed pretty friendly too: she wondered if this was also the case back where Billy lived.
Katara did a few stretches of her own and followed suit, moving more gracefully once she made contact with the water.

To be honest, Billy hadn't known dolphins personally. He'd been on a scuba trip once, and watched documentaries, but he lacked personal experience. Instead, he drew on Stacy's memory banks to keep everything realistic.
He switched to a swimsuit and swam alongside Katara, competent but clumsy by comparison. "They'll approach soon. Just a minute."
no subject
She actually wouldn't have minded turning into one herself. It would be nice to not have to be the motherly one for a little while.
Katara took off her clothes and was in her white suit, and sure enough, a dolphin approached her, making a chirping noise that she had never heard before. It seemed to indicate she could climb on its back, but she looked at Billy, makings ure she understood its meaning.
no subject
Billy nodded encouragingly. "I don't speak dolphin, but I think it wants to take you for a ride." Careful now, Katara, or it'll take you without your consent.
Even now, there was one circling Billy curiously. He offered a hand, waited, and the dolphin rubbed itself against his arm.
"Hi," came Billy's greeting, soon turning into a yelp when it slid under and began to pull him after Katara.
no subject
Katara is more than willing to let the dolphin take her along and it does just that. She let's out a yelp, but replaces that with a cheer as she repositions herself so her legs were gripping the dolphin more. She looks over at Billy and grins.
"You were right! This is fun!"
no subject
Then they were off, and it took him a moment to arrange himself into a proper riding position. There, that should be comfortable for dolphin and human. They lagged slightly behind Katara, but that was okay.
"Glad you like it---but watch out, they might move faster." Billy took a breath when he felt his dolphin shift, and sure enough they were gliding under the waves in another second. Wow.
no subject
And now they WERE moving faster, and Katara hung on tighter, cheering all the more. Yes, it would be a good idea to not slip off: she was sure she'd get lost in a fury of waves.
no subject
They wouldn't really be in trouble if they slipped off, but held on anyway. "I wasn't expecting this intensity, but I like it."
no subject
Of course this didn't bother her. It was useful to make a bubble that allowed her to breath.
no subject
If he needed to breathe, all he had to do was nudge.
Having fun yet? he asked.
no subject
YES!!!
no subject
Of course you would as the queen of the waters, he observed. He settled for watching her.
no subject
She motioned for him to join her.
no subject
He gave his dolphin a fond pat and departed, swimming close to her. What is it?
no subject
Something like that, yes. Then again, Aang would know more than I do about flying. She waited until he got close, and swiftly dunked his head in, giggling,

Billy saw her hand just before it happened and almost rose a hand to block, but the water was invading his orifices before he could think another thought.
Excuse him while he thrashes to get free. What was that for?
no subject
I was just teasing, sorry. Are you ok? She didn't hold him for that long.
She had something she wanted to say, actually...but she had chosen instead to randomly mess with Billy.
no subject
He paddled in front of her warily. "Was there really something other than mischief on your mind?"
no subject
She smiled. "Well yeah, I guess I was just thinking how happy I am that you guys came around. On the ship, I have this tendency to make a few friends, and because of that there's some holes where all of my memories fit, so I know some got re podded. I know that if it ever happened to any of us, we'd feel it and be pretty devastated. But we would help that person out, and we'd be there. I have a lot of people to thank, but you and Renne specifically, for when Sokka left."
She stared on, a little sad. "It made it a little easier when Zuko left too."
no subject
"I've felt the losses too, and I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I didn't worry. It's considerably easier to calm myself with the two of you present, and even if you leave, I know I'll have something powerful to hold onto."
He shuddered. Billy really didn't like to think about any of them leaving, but he knew it was a possibility.
no subject
"I know its hard to be pulled away from the team that matters a lot to you, that helped you become part of who you are. I just hope you always know you can come to me for anything, and don't be afraid to talk to me about anything. That feeling you just described, it goes double for me."
Katara felt the same way Billy did about either of them leaving, not when they were becoming so close.
no subject
"You'll definitely hear more from me."
Billy held her there for as long as she wanted, well aware of how slippery he was. As the friends embraced, the two dolphins made happy sounds and leapt as one over their heads.
"...huh."
no subject
"Good. I have a feeling in the coming few days we might have a lot more things to say to each other."
Oh, she was thinking Matt here, and is sadly unaware of the missions eh would be taking part in soon.
Katara looked up as the dolphins leapt over their heads, and she giggled. "These dolphins are definitely one of the more active creatures I've ever met in awhile! I wonder why they did that?"
