The Queen's Legacy (Phase Two)
[PLOT POST HERE. Read it!]
As quickly as it had begun, the Tyrant's rampage down in the City was over. He was last seen disappearing into the alleys around Religion Row, where any pursuers were thrown off in the maze of temples and shrines. It was probably better they leave him alone in any case... seeing what had happened to those who didn't.
It had been a few hours. The City was once again quiet, dotted by small areas of destruction and trails of blood where the Tyrant had brawled with crew members. The injured had been gathered and shipped to the Outsider's hotel until they could be moved to medical proper. And though the situation was not over, it was safe enough to go down, survey the damage and start cleaning up.
...Maybe.
A few blocks from the hotel, something was quietly growing in the darkness of a rubble pile.

The Hotel (Refuge for the Injured)
So did one of you bring some band aids?

(in Med Bay)
In the regular Med Bay, one lay comatose for seemingly no reason at all. Ordinary tests and scans wouldn't find trauma, injury, or disease. The true cause was the severe damage to his mental links with the people closest to him, but would anyone have a chance to explain that?
Re: (in Med Bay)
Damned if he'd let his Bondeds feel what this is like.
Whispering a quiet mantra to himself, he for once keeps still and concentrates on 'finding' the others. The Lifestone he'd entrusted to Billy very often reacts of its own accord...

Re: The Hotel (Refuge for the Injured)
"You'd think someone who gets knocked around as much as I do would know what to do with this stuff." He muttered balancing a roll of bandages on his head as he walked around the perimeter.
Well that wasn't entirely true. He did know how to use some things, but still they really needed a professional. All he was pro at was video games and T.V.
Re: The Hotel (Refuge for the Injured)
He put the bandages down on a table, trying to avoid looking at the injured, already feeling a pull of anxiety in his stomach. "I f-found these l-looking for b-blankets. Do you-" he broke off his thought there, having taken a quick glance into the room by mistake. That alone would not have stopped him, but he saw Katara among the injured.
His hand shot up to his mouth as he turned green and swallowed the rising bile. He looked in horror to beastboy, "K-Katara! W-what happened?"

Not quite sure what to do about this, Ren knew the best thing to do was to get Negi to the Outsiders' place and see if he needed medical attention.
All while waiting for the other kid to show so he could smack both of them upside the head for this.
Re: The Hotel (Refuge for the Injured)
As it stands, he was biting his lip as he paced back and forth hoping to find the one who stole his belt. "I'm so busted," muttered the bookish Rider worriedly when he saw Ren carry the unconscious Negi into the room. "Oooooh dear."

So around the City he circled, through the streets and focusing on damaged areas, looking for any hints of movement -- friendly or hostile.

But that didn't mean she couldn't fly overhead once or twice, trying to locate the Tyrant's whereabouts. If she could at least pinpoint its location, maybe she could feel a little less useless.

From a perch nearby, the elder Spider-Man watched Fate race by. Like Fate, he was angry. However, unlike Fate, he was angry at himself. He felt that his "I'm gonna stop the monster" call to Luis was a call for some of those others to stop him as well. As such, he felt it was his responsibility to find and stop him.
In any case, he figured it was probably high time to catch up with someone and trade notes.
"Hey! Hold up!" Spidey shouted, firing a web-line and swinging to catch up with the mage.

Fate probably recognized right away who had messaged her telepathically. If the voice wasn't a dead giveaway, the anger behind it was.
"You seen it yet?"
no subject
Yep, it wasn't hard to recognize whose voice that was. Fate slowed a little, scanning the sky for a familiar streak of red.
"But I just started, so there's still a lot of ground to cover."

Not too far away from the hotel, Jamie found the area where he had agreed to meet the others, and after making sure the Tyrant was nowhere nearby, settled in to give a chance for the other Rangers to arrive and start the search.
He's uneasy, though. Something about this feels off, but he's not sure what, just yet. He rubs at one arm somewhat nervously, trying to ignore the little prickles of warning at the base of his spine.

"Before you say anything? I do not want to talk about what happened to my pants."

He shook his head. "Anyway, where's Lash and Kate?"

Little Ship of Horrors
It was underneath the rubble here that something else had taken root. It had been innocent at first-- until tainted blood spilled on it, soaking into its cells and quickly taking it over. Soon its roots were digging deeper and deeper into the ground. Thin vines began to grow up from the ground, twisting and spreading out across the little garden, wrapping up into the rubble. A tiny stem with a fleshy bulb growing on top rose up from wreckage of the building and into the artificial sunlight of the City.
Within the house, it had grown nearly as big as the building.
Vines as thick as a human waist and lined with razor-sharp barbs began to feel along the streets around it, searching for prey-- and then it sensed Veronica. It could feel more traces of its own taint nearby. Smeared along the streets, lurking in the distance... some in another nearby building, those who had come in close contact with the virus.
The bulb was nearly the size of a truck. Slowly, almost gracefully, it opened into a horrible, unnatural bloom. Acidic nectar dripped down from what could almost pass for jaws, and in the center, between pistils of spores, a freakish eye opened. The Veronica plant stood like a grotesque flag, poking up high above the surrounding buildings.
Alexia was long dead, but she would have been proud of her creation.
Re: Little Ship of Horrors
Turning his head, he tried to will his warning sense to shut off as he saw the creature before him.
"Hooooooooooooooolyyyyyyy..." Spidey uttered, seeing the creature. "We just can't have nice things, can we?" Letting out a sigh, he steeled himself as he catapulted himself from the rooftop to the street below, aiming for some of the other rubble. "Let's get to work, people!"
A few moments later, he couldn't help but let out a rallying cry. A familiar one, though a tad out of place.
"AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!"

And clearly the universe hated Marco, because instead things actually going back to normal he had to find himself nearly flying into an evil overgrown potplant. He banked right hard, flying away from the plant and towards Spider-Man.
<Here's an idea. How about we do some assembling over there? Far, far over there?> Marco said in thought-speak as he flew past Spider-Man. <Oh man, what have they been putting in this thing's fertilizer? Steroids? Arsenic? Lima bean and brussel sprout puree?>

So all the way through the city, Jr. kept an eye out. Not only for possibly injured crewmates, but for the alleged huge green monster that was the cause of the injuries in the first place. What he wasn't expecting to see was anything more than that. Especially a giant, mutated plant.
"Holy crap--" he choked, stopping in his tracks.

Re: Little Ship of Horrors
"Everyone, I'm going out to face that thing," added the young man as he pulled a driver from his pocket, shaped like an L. "Ren, if you would be so kind as to back me up, I'd appreciate it."
And he placed it around his middle as he barked "FANG!"
There was a small dinosaur-like screech as a little device ran out to meet him and leaped into his hand. Pressing it down and flipping the tail over, he pressed the end of it.
"Henshin!" exclaimed Phillip, slamming the Fang Memory into the top of the Lost Driver and throwing it into the L shape.
exclaimed his belt as music played and the suit formed around him, spikes exploding from his body briefly before it settled down.
Re: Little Ship of Horrors
"Now let's show you how it's really done," he said, his Vent Buckle forming around him. He crossed his right arm in front of him and shouted, "Henshin!"
He slid the Deck into place on his belt, and reflective images of his armor converged onto him, forming it. Taking out the sword that acted as his Visor, he held it in front of him in a defensive position.
"Let's go," Knight said.

He boggled at it for a few seconds longer before managing to focus. Whatever it was, they couldn't leave it there to further hurt the others in the city. Placing his hand on his wrist, he glanced to the others.
"I'd say it's morphin' time."
