The Queen's Legacy (Phase Two)
[PLOT POST HERE. Read it!]
As quickly as it had begun, the Tyrant's rampage down in the City was over. He was last seen disappearing into the alleys around Religion Row, where any pursuers were thrown off in the maze of temples and shrines. It was probably better they leave him alone in any case... seeing what had happened to those who didn't.
It had been a few hours. The City was once again quiet, dotted by small areas of destruction and trails of blood where the Tyrant had brawled with crew members. The injured had been gathered and shipped to the Outsider's hotel until they could be moved to medical proper. And though the situation was not over, it was safe enough to go down, survey the damage and start cleaning up.
...Maybe.
A few blocks from the hotel, something was quietly growing in the darkness of a rubble pile.

He could help with that healing. He just had to use that shield of his. But after the last time he used them- when he had lost control- he had promised himself that he wouldn't use them again.
But back them he had hurt Katara. If he didn't use them now to do what he could, wouldn't that be just like hurting her again.
"B-Beastboy..." his voice cracked nervously, "if I start ac-acting weird... K-knock me out?"

"Wha-ss goin' on?"

He pulled a chair over next to Katara and sat down, taking a deep breath. Putting his shaking hand on Katara's good shoulder he made a soft hushing sound, "J-jus' lay d-down. Relax..."
If this went wrong, he could do so much more damage. But the sound Katara made reached right to Alex's heart. He had to try at least. And Beastboy was there, waiting to stop him if something happened. He used the sick, nervous feeling to encircle Katara and himself in an invisible forcefield. Within the field, wounds healed faster than normal. It would only a half hour for the visible wound on her shoulder to heal, but he couldn't be sure in regards to anything else.
As an after-thought, he made the shield visible so that others wouldn't accidentally run into its hard surface by accident. "I'm g-gonna t-try ta make things better..." He closed his eyes so that he wouldn't have to look at the open wound and instead focused on holding onto that feeling of nervousness without letting it rule him.

She looked over and saw that Beastboy was there and...was she in the hotel?@!
"Hey, how did I get here?"

WAIT! Now she thought of her Bonded, and her fear started to rise. She forced herself up, hair out of place and uncaring.
"What about Billy? Renne? Are the other Outsiders okay?"
She was hurt, but she wasn't dead. What about the others?

He had to think he could do this. He couldn't let his fears break him. If he let himself think that he would fail, then he would lose control.

"All right," she said, lying back. She stilled her private emotions to jump and fight. "Please...tell me how Billy and Renne are, and how the other Outsiders are doing. I need to know they're ok."

"I... I s-suppose if there's no one else... I c-can help them too, b-but I'd n-need ta rest..." And quiet. Quiet would help now, but he couldn't bring himself to tell them to shut up, even in a nicer way.

That, and well, she didn't take too kindly to losing a fight.
"What's the status on Steve then? Is he still wrecking things?"

But she also had some other work to do.
"ADEAT!" She called, and her normal clothing was replaced with a long white cloak with a hood and blue trim. She hadn't planned the outfit, but it was just as well: this needed to happen.
She turned to Alex, smiling. "Thank you."

"K-Katara... Are you s-sure you're- Woah." He finally realized the clothing change Katara went through. "Wh-when did you learn ta do that?"

She looked at the two. "Do you know how many else are hurt?"

He used the the top of his shoe to scratch the back of his leg.
Medbays were anything but a place of comfort for him.
