Halloween Party

Who knows why the ship was doing this. Maybe it was some kind of social experiment. Maybe Stacy was feeling festive and somewhere, out there, it was Halloween. Maybe the players just wanted to have Halloween fun. No one would ever know, would they.

In any case, what better place for a Halloween dance than a graveyard? In an area in the center, clear of headstones, there was a dance floor, and there were seats and tables with skeletal frames. Somehow grisly carved torches and jack-o-lanterns of varying sizes and shapes, cast enough eerie light to light up the place, despite the fact it was night. There were places to bob for apples, popcorn balls on strings strung up for people to try to eat for games involving that. The food tables will full of Halloweeny snacks and candy.

Far off, there was a haunted house, decrepit and foreboding. It seemed people could look into it if they dared sent down the dark trail to where it was. [ooc: Haunted house post link forthcoming].

Creepy--but danceable music was playing, from nowhere.

Perhaps most notable was the fact that the moment someone entered the Sensorium, they would find themselves in a costume. Sometimes these costumes would be what the character themselves would choose, but sometimes they'd be dressed as something strange, embarrassing, or just something they wouldn't even recognize. Leaving and coming back wouldn't fix the problem, in most cases. The costumes wouldn't change, and if they did, it wasn't guaranteed that they'd change to something better.

Whatever the case, party hard, Meatship. Somebody's got to teach the Vikings, draconians, aliens, and other sundry people to Thriller dance.

"Uwaaaahhh...!" Vivio cried out, trying to straighten herself up as she found herself in her odd costume (http://www.cosplay.com/costume/183650/). Sure, it was an interesting look and all, but the odd design and the sudden change through her off balance.

"Ahh... interesting, but, um..." she uttered, before holding up the equally fake Buster Rifle and Beam Saber. "What am I gonna do with these?"

Einhart blinked, looking over at Vivio as she walked into the party as well. And she was dressed in a similar costume. (http://www.cosplay.com/costume/113171/)

"What is this I... what?"

"They... look like some of those big robots in the hangers. I think I've seen that one before, though!" Vivio said.

She was glad she was more focused on the costume - it was still a tad awkward.

Einhart blinked. "Oh... I see. Why are we like this though?"

Vivio was a bit confused before she realized something.

"You've never experienced Halloween, have you?" she said. "It's a holiday a lot of people celebrate, usually by dressing up in costumes!"

Einhart blinked, looking over at Vivio. "Umm... no, I haven't. I never heard about it before. It's not celebrated on Mid..."

"Oh... I know Nanoha-mama and Fate-mama used to take me to Earth a few times for it... but, this'll be a good chance for you to understand it!" she said, smiling a bit.

Einhart nodded. Although she wasn't sure if she really wanted to understand it all too much though...

"C'mon, I'm sure everyone else is waiting...!" Vivio said, extending a hand out.

Einhart took the hand. "Okay..."

"O-oi..."

Came the voice from behind Vivio- a very confused- and somewhat concerned-looking Mad Hatter.

"No mistakin' that crest an' those wings. That's... How'd you get that!?" He called, moving closer towards her.

"Th-this?" Vivio asked, blinking in confusion. "It was chosen when I came in! Honest!"

She didn't expect something like this to be chosen, especially if someone here recognized it.

Duo tapped his chin, slowing to a halt. As he'd gotten closer, it became clear that the entire construction of the outfit was merely harmless fabric, foam and cardboard and nothing more, weapons included. While that was a relief, the fact that it could have been thought up at all-- Duo wasn't sure if he was disturbed or relieved. Did that mean Heero was in the pods somewhere? Was this Stacy's doing, and was it some kind of sign?

"...If you're sure. No, I believe ya, it's just..."

He sighed, adjusting his hat. "It belongs to a buddy of mine. The real thing."

Vivio couldn't help but blink. She knew that the costume Einhart had donned was based off of one of the machines in the hanger, but she'd never realized that the costume she wore was based off of another.

"Really? This?" Vivio said, surprised. "Was it like some of the others I've seen?"

"I guess you could say that, yeah. Closest to mine, probably-- but... well, you can see the differences right in the design here," Duo glanced again, trying not to outright stare at her. A few things here and there were off (or at least not totally spot on), but for the most part...

"Uh, any ideas why it mighta tossed you into that?"
