In Which Zetta Trains
Some people had said he ought to train.
Some people seemed to need training.
Some people he wanted to teach.
And the Overlord felt like being productive.
So he'd grabbed a sensorium, shut the safeties off, set up shop, and sent out a call. And divided the sensorium into three distinct parts...

However, he would find her location of her a bit harder than he thought. Relying on finding her through "malice and hatred" would definitely have been easier several months ago, or even a few years ago when those things were the only ones that occupied her very being. The malice was there (it had to b e) the hatred, not so much.
She appeared several feet in front of him, with demons aiding her now, moving quickly to drag the boy down.

Which was why, if he was going to get even near her, she'd have a barrier set up, not to mention much stronger minions, and whatever Zetta would throw at him.
Re: A New Challenger has Emerged!
"If it exists I can kill it."
With that he effortlessly cut through the barrier surrounding Alessa, but was forced to retreat when her minions attacked him.
Re: A New Challenger has Emerged!
"So then you're an assassin then. Good for you. You won't be permitted to kill me of course, not that I would understand your motivation for doing so."
How would she? They only just met anyway, which was why another barrier came up, stronger than the last.

Which was why her disappeared and she appeared herself, looking far from happy.
"YOU," she practically snarled. "What are you?"
Re: A New Challenger has Emerged!
Unless the demon no longer seemed to be a threat, or a greater one did not present itself, Shiki would continue to follow the instincts programmed into his bloodline.

Nanaya cockily smirked as he prepared for his next attack. As Nanaya, Shiki was able to ignore the pain in his head for overusing his Mystic Eyes. However, this continued usage may have lasting repercussions.
Re: A New Challenger has Emerged!
Alessa closed her eyes as the room swam in horrors: Alessa was far from being over, and she certainly wasn't going to let this human smile at her like that. The room started to shake a little, and Alessa looked up.
"This human thinks he's beyond demon capability," Alessa said to overlord Zetta. "Assist me in showing him different."
Re: A New Challenger has Emerged!
Zetta blinked, then looked askance at Alessa. "He's got a cheap OHKO" -- yes, Zetta actually used the acronym -- "and an attitude. What's to get worked up about? Getting pissed is just giving him more attention than it's worth."
Re: A New Challenger has Emerged!
[Note: By this point, Shiki is fatally injured yet continuing to push himself (he loses all control when faced with what he perceives is a threat). Hope either of you can come up with a way to stop him before either he or either of you die.]
Re: A New Challenger has Emerged!
She saw that whoever he was, he was running low on his actual stamina, and would use his all to actually eliminate his target. Despite his irritating nature, Alessa could admire that. She would make sure she gave her all too, if it came down to it, and slashed and dodged herself.
She refused to be defeated like this, disgraced and crushed. NEVER.
Re: A New Challenger has Emerged!
Also hate: no arms. Shoving them off each other would've been easy. Fine, whatever, they're in the sensoriums, he can work with this.
A wall appeared between them -- or actually, technically, about fifteen hundred walls, nearly two-dimensional in thinness, layered like a Dagwood sandwich. Each layer was composed of a different material, just to make it harder for anyone to pull off a stupid teleport-through-the-wall trick. The wall stretched out to the limits of the sensorium's 'battlefield', which Zetta had restricted to a relatively small square.
"Now cut it out," Zetta snapped at both of them, making himself visible and audible on both sides. "This got silly a long time ago."
He's not the swiftest being in the universe, but never doubt the conceptual prowess of the Overlord.

She definitely felt the sting in her body, and she smiled.
"That was fine."

Besides, if she wanted to beat him, he would need to be alive for their next encounter.
"I'll be seeing you again, Overlord," Alessa said.
