In Which Zetta Trains

Some people had said he ought to train.

Some people seemed to need training.

Some people he wanted to teach.

And the Overlord felt like being productive.

So he'd grabbed a sensorium, shut the safeties off, set up shop, and sent out a call. And divided the sensorium into three distinct parts...

Looking at the wall Zetta created had down the trick. With each layer being a different material, each layer had a unique concept of death. Seeing all of them caused Shiki's brain to shutdown or risk frying itself from the overabundance of information it was not supposed to comprehend. Collapsing to the floor, Shiki was sprawled out unconcious and bleeding out from the wounds all over his body.

That was fine: she had enough anyway. This was unexpected, but it had certainly satisfied her as she had wanted. This battle had been her equal, for the moment, and now she had material for the Sensorium. She would find a way to shrug off this moment, and now she had a goal.

She definitely felt the sting in her body, and she smiled.

"That was fine."

While Shiki's wounds closed, the after affects of using his Mystic Eyes continued to leave him sprawled on the floor of the Sensorium. At this rate it would be about 2 hours before he would be able to wake up again, suffering from seeing the death of beings well beyond what his mind should be able to comprehend.

"I'll take him out," Alessa said. "He gave me a good fight. It would be wrong to leave him here in this condition."

Besides, if she wanted to beat him, he would need to be alive for their next encounter.

"I'll be seeing you again, Overlord," Alessa said.
