Crossroads Between [Open]

To say that Sasami was conflicted at the moment would be an understatement.

By Sasami's own nature, she was a helper - she always tried to help out everywhere she went, no matter what. From cleaning house to saving time itself, she was there, giving a helping hand. Thus, when she was woken to face the Ohm, she found it her calling to do what she could to help.

Instead, she was told to stay back, that, because she was a child, she shouldn't meddle in the affairs of adults and just be a kid.

So, she tried being a kid. Tried being the keyword here; the second she opted to do that, Hit Girl appeared and more or less told her that she should be out there fighting with the rest.

And thus, her conflict. To turn her back on those who could use her help would be turning her back on who she is and what she's done, yet to turn her back on what's left of her childhood would mean losing out on what was left of it.

Hiding in the Media Library, watching a random anime (which oddly featured a version of her in an outfit too skimpy for a kid), she let out a sigh.

"...I wish I could be like you." Sasami mused, watching the show. "You knew what to do with your life. You wanted to help others. And yet, I can't do that here. Now without making someone angry or protective." She let out a sigh as she sat back and continued watching

"I doubt that. Everyone's got something they can offer here, right? That sounds pretty useful to me. Especially if we have a lot of kids here on Stacy."

It somewhat bothered Jr. that there kids here period ... but he believed in what he said; surely there was something they could do on Stacy instead of have the burden of fighting the Ohm.

"They probably see it that way!" He smiled a little, trying to encourage others was thankfully one of his stronger points. "I mean, they wouldn't have given you a job at all if they didn't care, right?"

She was distressed, and Jr. didn't want to wind up giving her advice that would put her in a situation that would make it worse, but at the same time...

"So don't worry so much about impressing everyone else and what they're thinking of you. But at the same time, do your best with what you're doing."
