Crossroads Between [Open]
To say that Sasami was conflicted at the moment would be an understatement.
By Sasami's own nature, she was a helper - she always tried to help out everywhere she went, no matter what. From cleaning house to saving time itself, she was there, giving a helping hand. Thus, when she was woken to face the Ohm, she found it her calling to do what she could to help.
Instead, she was told to stay back, that, because she was a child, she shouldn't meddle in the affairs of adults and just be a kid.
So, she tried being a kid. Tried being the keyword here; the second she opted to do that, Hit Girl appeared and more or less told her that she should be out there fighting with the rest.
And thus, her conflict. To turn her back on those who could use her help would be turning her back on who she is and what she's done, yet to turn her back on what's left of her childhood would mean losing out on what was left of it.
Hiding in the Media Library, watching a random anime (which oddly featured a version of her in an outfit too skimpy for a kid), she let out a sigh.
"...I wish I could be like you." Sasami mused, watching the show. "You knew what to do with your life. You wanted to help others. And yet, I can't do that here. Now without making someone angry or protective." She let out a sigh as she sat back and continued watching

"I-I'm sorry... I was just thinking. I guess I didn't realize there were others here!" Sasami said.
no subject
It was like they were giving her reasons to dislike the rest of the crew right off the bat now.
no subject
"Well, excuse me for wanting to do so!" Sasami said before turning her eyes to look away. "...not like I have anyone else to talk to..."
no subject
"I'm here right now, aren't I? You can talk to me." She turned back to her omnicom and started typing quickly.
no subject
"Why bother? Sounds like you'd ignore me." Sasami said, crossing her arms and looking away.
no subject
She started typing again. "I'm about as normal as you can get, and I know that I don't have anything that makes me stand out one way or another, so I take the classes my mother gives, and the classes the other adults give, and I learn. Maybe when I'm a little older, I'll be more useful. Because none of the adults are going to live forever, and one day, we'll have to step up anyway. So why are you rushing towards something that will happen when it happens?"
no subject
She let out a sigh. "You may think that sitting back and studying is what you should do, but... I've been through too much to sit back. At the same time? I wish I could do that..."

"Oi, a little help?" She called, and saw Sasami. "Hey, princess. Know how to bandage a wound?"
no subject
"Wh-what happened?! What did you do?!" she cried out
no subject
"So...uh, do you have any kind of bandaging? I'm kinda hurting now."
no subject
She looked around, trying to figure out what to use before sighing and reaching for the obi of her kimono, wrapping it around the girl tightly. "You need to get to a doctor... I-I can get you there..."
no subject
She appreciated the using of her own clothes, but wasn't good at showing such gratitude. It was...weird.
"Hey, I meant to ask, princess," she said. "What's your problem with me anyway? You acted like I was the plague when we first met."
no subject
She let out a sigh as she heard her question.
"I'm not used to other kids being so... snappy." she said. "The friends I have here were generally kind to me, so... it kinda threw me off. That and... I've been conflicted with what I should do."
no subject
She shrugged. "New Yorker, comes with the territory. You have to be hard, you can't trust anyone and you have to expect a backstabbing even in a place where it seems like everyone else is just as badly off. But hey...what are you so bothered about?"
no subject
"Well... I just don't know what to do here. I want to help everyone, but they want me to be a kid, yet when I try to be a kid..." she said, trailing off to look Hit Girl in the eye.

Now, though, he was idly browsing to see what else the place had to offer, until he heard the sounds of something else on, as well as a voice. Curious, he followed the sound until he spotted Sasami, and glanced over her shoulder to get a better look at what was on.
"What'cha watching?"
no subject
"O-Oh... sorry, I guess I got caught up in my thoughts." she said, grinning sheepishly. "It's a cartoon... with me, apparently."
no subject
He blinked, that sure was weird. But on the other hand, the only thing that jumped into his mind was:
"Woah, you must be pretty famous, then!"
no subject
"I-I don't know if I am, really!" Sasami admitted. "I just found this and i-it happened to have me in it!"
Which made her wonder - was she well-known elsewhere? Or was she used as some sort of example from her universe?
no subject
And that led him to his next statement.
"So really, you shouldn't want to be like something that's already based off of you. There's not really much room for change in that case."
no subject
"You think so? I mean..." Sasami stammered. "I guess I just want to show everyone I can do stuff..."

"You shouldn't let other people dicate how you think and feel, Sasami. Or you okay?"
