Bewildered
She'd made her way to the Media library, the only place she figured would be a good p[lace for her to start looking up all of the shit that went down. There was a lot of information here, and she figured it would be the first place to start researching on the Ohm and the affect they were having on other worlds. She had already had an idea on the pathetic ass recon on the Ohm that some people had, but as far as she knew there seemed to be an easy going way about the people on the ship that she didn't like. Oh sure, there were some fledgling associations and some people were definitely more interested than others in eradicating the Ohm threat, but this was Hit girl on the job, and she was the type to not care what other sloppier people did.
So now, she could care less than she was one of the younger people on the crew underestimated because of her age. She could care less that her first attempt to collect information via the network had been maligned by some prick. She didn't even care that there were these fucking double standards on adults and teenagers and kids, who were supposedly the lower part of the chain here. What she did care about was that it was very likely that she would not know what it was like to be IN a normal situation for herself anymore: what proof did she have that she couldn't trust any of these people without them looking down on her? No, her vendetta against the Ohm was her own, and if she had to go it alone, well, more power to her. She was used to that.
It wasn't like Big Daddy was around to help with that, like in the old days. Sucky as it was, she could have used his help.

She had seen bigger "libraries", to be honest, but it wasn't bad. Her little inspection was interrupted by noticing someone, a person about as tall as her. Hmm.
"You with these "outsiders"?" She asked Mindy out of the blue, wondering if she was with the group she had heard about on the network. After all, she hadn't met one of them yet.
no subject
"Haven't decided yet," she said, glad that she wasn't the only newbie still on the fence there. "Doesn't seem to be any reason not to so far. If those guys are against the Ohm and for looking for a plan to fight them, it makes sense to join up. Still gathering intel to make sure they're on the up and up though, and I've at least met one of their leaders."

She looked around, at the terminals, and wondered what the other girl was looking for. Her world? Stuff about the ship? Well, it probably didn't matter.
"Name's Vita, and that's Graf Eisen." She padded her hammer with her free hand, and there actually seemed to be a slightly faint reply, in a male voice, saying - coming from said weapon.
((* Pleased to meet you in german))

The chick was armed...good. She wasn't the only sane person on ship who thought the possibility of being attacked by a fellow member was impossible.
Then it started to talk.
"The fuck?!" This plain startled Hit Girl, and that wasn't easy to do considering the first few days on the ship. "Why is that talking...in German?"
no subject
Vita blinked as Hit Girl was startled, and then remembered that people in this place really didn't seem to know what these items were. She had expected them to be more common in different worlds, to be honest. Well...whatever suited these worlds, as long as the people didn't screw up.
"He's my Armed Device." She answered. "Think of them as some sort of weapon. He's talking in Ancient Belkan
which sounds germanbecause well...that's wherewe'rehe's from. Modern ones usually use English, I think. He's quite useful for doing our job. Smashing nasty things, that is."no subject
"Man," Hit girl, said, shaking her head and looking at the device, "the longer I'm here, the more I start to wonder if they slipped something into my drink at school. Weapons usually don't talk...at least, none of mine do. Good thing too: they'd have some pretty gruesome stories to tell."
no subject
She didn't really know any fictional entities - maybe that were simply mythical people who actually existed and were forgotten, only to be remembered in stories? - but on the weapons, she had to agree.
"They have a lot to tell, for sure." She agreed. "Of course, if they can talk, they can watch out for you and detect enemies and the like."
no subject
Now that was an idea. She could certainly use someone having her back, considering she usually was going through all of this alone. Who knew, maybe she should go looking for a sidekick.
"So that's what yours does. Sounds really useful, actually. So what are you looking up here?"
no subject
Who really cared about other people swearing? It wasn't really a big deal, unless you had a stick shoved up your butt. Vita could emphasize, in a way.
"Nothing much, I was just checking out the ship. Gotta know the terrain well if there's ever trouble inside. I can protect those I care about better when I know what's around me."
And that really was her reasoning. Not exactly the best, but oh well.
no subject
There was no mistaking the dripping sarcasm in Hit girl's voice.
"I hear you there," she said. "I'm doing the same thing, when it gets down to it. Of course, I'm not in the business of helping people on the ship. I don't even know them."
Well, maybe that Hiccup guy: he was pretty neat and didn't feed her BS.
no subject
As for the second thing, Vita shrugged. "Someone has to watch out for the people I care about, so why not me?"
no subject
Hit girl looked a little surprised. "So you've already found people to care about on the ship? How long have you been here?"
no subject
She wasn't actually active on the ship, but really, Vita didn't feel that bad about badmouthing her, since, technically, it was pretty true. The other knight was way too stuck on mannerism.
"I just got out of those slime pods, but I've met some people from my world. They were in Mobile Section 6 back in Mid-Childa alongside me."
no subject
Granted, she could have been nicer about it, but Hit girl had a reputation to maintain. She could be nice when she was Mindy again.
"Lucky you," she said. "Who are they, so I'll know to keep an eye out?"
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha cast flood.
"Well, there's my mistress, Hayate, of course, she's with the magical department. There's Nanoha, who leads the magical department and Fate, and the daughter of those two women, Vivio. And of course the two Rein's, though while they have the same name they look nothing alike. One's as tall as my hand and floats."
Quite a lot of people from her world, come to think of it. Not to mention the two others, Einhard and Cinque, who she wasn't too sure about.
Re: Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha cast flood.
"How do you have a daughter of two women? Last I checked, you needed a guy for that part." Not that it much mattered to her, but hell, if the way of obtaining a child was different in other worlds, she wanted to know about it. There was enough crazy things going on in this ship to boggle her mind why not one more?
"A floating chick too? Man, your world is WAY more interesting than mine."

He's so lost in his own thoughts he nearly bumps into the masked girl in black.
no subject
"Who are you?" She blurted out.
no subject
Startled, he rolls out of her way then turns to face her. He seems totally contrite and stumbles over his words as he tries to apologize.
"I'm really sorry, uhh, I didn't bump into you, did I? Sorry, I was just... um... thinking about, other stuff."
Pause.
"Oh. I'm Tavros. Tavros Nitram. Who, who are you?"
no subject
"You did," she said, "but if that's gonna happen, maybe you should just do one or the other."
She gave him a just kidding smirk. "I'm Hit girl. What brings you here?"
no subject
"Yeah, uh, you're probably right about that, mostly. Sorry again."
Wait, Hit Girl? Really? He's heard some crazy names on this ship, but that's got to be an alias. Besides, there's the mask and all. He raises his eyebrows.
"I hatched, like, out of a pod. Not too long ago, actually. Are you some kind of, uh, superhero?"
no subject
"Yeah, me too. We probably both came out at the same time. To answer your last question, technically, no. We have actual superheroes on this ship, with the powers and everything. I can't do anything like that: I just kick ass and take names. And I'm good at what I do, if you ask me."
no subject
"Those are, uh, pretty good skills to have. I haven't run into anyone in costume, as in capes and stuff, but I've met a few people here, um, who have powers anyway."
He hesitates, then decides to just ask anyway.
"Is... that your real hair?"
no subject
Here, she snickered. "Nah, it isn't but it isn't likely I'll be walking around in my actual identity. I have to keep those two separate for important reasons."
no subject
"Yeah, uh, I get you. Hero anonymity, right? ...So if you're, apparently up here on business or something, um, what is it you're after?"
no subject
And now for that question. "Information. Gotta know about this ship, the people, the layout. In short? Everything mama bitch DIDN'T tell me."
no subject
"That's a good idea... there isn't a lot of, uh, stuff, about the Ohm, though. I looked. But, uh, maybe you'll do better."
no subject

"...it's more like, the ship pulls people to it, to keep them safe, and they're down below somewhere, uhh, in the pods. But for some reason only some of us are awake. You might have, um, friends down there. Me too. I hope, anyway..."
no subject
no subject
At her words, he nods a little.
"Even a, a really good lusus makes, um, a mistake every now and them. Though, uhh, I won't lie. That's a, pretty bad one, I think. And nobody really has any... any straight answers. Hell, I'm still not sure if the next, whatever-it-is, defense mechanism, won't actually, kill me."
no subject
Not that she needed to be thinking about Big daddy right now, oh no. That would just be a mistake. Besides, she wasn't here to be all mopey, she had a job to do.
"That is a problem, isn't it? What if the next thing Stacy launches kills us? Nobody wants to talk about that, and I'm just willing to bet that its something over looked. This ship is so big, likely half of the people on it don't even know there was a virus. I mean, what's next?"
no subject
He starts to roll off, then pauses. "Oh hey, um. Maybe you could, take this to the Outsiders. If nothing else, at, at least you'll get heard."
no subject
She stopped, and looked thoughtful. "I'll see what happens. Thanks."
