Bewildered

She'd made her way to the Media library, the only place she figured would be a good p[lace for her to start looking up all of the shit that went down. There was a lot of information here, and she figured it would be the first place to start researching on the Ohm and the affect they were having on other worlds. She had already had an idea on the pathetic ass recon on the Ohm that some people had, but as far as she knew there seemed to be an easy going way about the people on the ship that she didn't like. Oh sure, there were some fledgling associations and some people were definitely more interested than others in eradicating the Ohm threat, but this was Hit girl on the job, and she was the type to not care what other sloppier people did.

So now, she could care less than she was one of the younger people on the crew underestimated because of her age. She could care less that her first attempt to collect information via the network had been maligned by some prick. She didn't even care that there were these fucking double standards on adults and teenagers and kids, who were supposedly the lower part of the chain here. What she did care about was that it was very likely that she would not know what it was like to be IN a normal situation for herself anymore: what proof did she have that she couldn't trust any of these people without them looking down on her? No, her vendetta against the Ohm was her own, and if she had to go it alone, well, more power to her. She was used to that.

It wasn't like Big Daddy was around to help with that, like in the old days. Sucky as it was, she could have used his help.

He's by far one of the ones with better self-control, but who ever heard of a troll that didn't swear? He smiles sheepishy as she smirks at him.

"Yeah, uh, you're probably right about that, mostly. Sorry again."

Wait, Hit Girl? Really? He's heard some crazy names on this ship, but that's got to be an alias. Besides, there's the mask and all. He raises his eyebrows.

"I hatched, like, out of a pod. Not too long ago, actually. Are you some kind of, uh, superhero?"

Tavros shrugs. He hasn't run into anyone he thought was rude yet, but considering where he came from, it'd take a particularly nasty breed of rudeness for him to take notice. As she answers, he smiles a little. Kicks ass, takes names. He can respect that. And make an effort to avoid crossing her, while he's at it.

"Those are, uh, pretty good skills to have. I haven't run into anyone in costume, as in capes and stuff, but I've met a few people here, um, who have powers anyway."

He hesitates, then decides to just ask anyway.

"Is... that your real hair?"

Tavros makes a face at her mention of the plantsuits. None of his troll shirts had made it onto the ship, and he still felt weird wearing something with a pulse.

"Yeah, uh, I get you. Hero anonymity, right? ...So if you're, apparently up here on business or something, um, what is it you're after?"

[identity profile] alterniantaurus.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
Tavros nods, smiling at that. No nonsense, foul-mouthed, and getting things done. He can respect that.

"That's a good idea... there isn't a lot of, uh, stuff, about the Ohm, though. I looked. But, uh, maybe you'll do better."

"I hear a lot from people, about it. They think the ship itself is a problem..." Tavros shrugs. "I don't really know, uh, one way or the other. But we're alive because if it, basically."

[identity profile] alterniantaurus.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Well... I, uh, I think it's more like..." Tavros seems a bit hesitant. He doesn't see Stacy as a bad thing, but at the same time he's not interested in arguing with Hit Girl.

"...it's more like, the ship pulls people to it, to keep them safe, and they're down below somewhere, uhh, in the pods. But for some reason only some of us are awake. You might have, um, friends down there. Me too. I hope, anyway..."

[identity profile] alterniantaurus.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 11:53 am (UTC)(link)
Kick Ass? Seriously now, Hit Girl has a friend named Kick Ass? ...Okay, well that's actually kind of a good one. Tavros hopes this friend of hers gets hatched so he can meet someone with a name like that.

At her words, he nods a little.

"Even a, a really good lusus makes, um, a mistake every now and them. Though, uhh, I won't lie. That's a, pretty bad one, I think. And nobody really has any... any straight answers. Hell, I'm still not sure if the next, whatever-it-is, defense mechanism, won't actually, kill me."

"Well, don't forget, there's the, uh, omnicoms. It's not too difficult to get a message across, to everyone if you need to. But, uh, you're right. It's a pretty huge ship, so maybe you'll find something the, uh, rest of us overlooked. Um, good luck with your... investigation."

He starts to roll off, then pauses. "Oh hey, um. Maybe you could, take this to the Outsiders. If nothing else, at, at least you'll get heard."
