Shore Leave Part 3: The Return Of Stacy

Down on the surface of the planet Zokez II, Stacy's erstwhile (and hopefully much more relaxed) crew began receiving messages over their comm rings and omnicoms.

||Shore Leave is now over, please return to the site for pick up. I repeat, Shore Leave is now over, please return to the site for pick up. I hope you have enjoyed your stay on Zokez II, but all good things must come to an end. Please return to the site for pick up. If you do not return, you will be left behind.||

She means it, too. Better get your butts back to the ship.

[OOC: Please thread amongst yourselves!]

"Oh?" she turns her head, interested. "Like what?"

The Blight. The hole in space. A year with half the Legion missing and the other half disbanded; and when the lost ones returned, it was with the news of Garth and dear Candi' deaths and poor Jan's terrible descent into utter madness.

"Nothing that you'd want as an end-note to your vacation," Jeka said, shaking her head. "It was a dark time for the Legion, but we eventually pulled through."

"Isn't that what Legions do?" Nura says, poking her sunglasses up the bridge of her nose.

"It certainly is," Jeka agreed with a sigh. "But it was a particularly dark time. We lost people, a lot of people, and it took a lot of work to dig ourselves and everyone else out of the mess."

Nura pulls the sunglasses off and folds them in her hands. She looks Jeka straight in the eye (the reason for removing her sunglasses, so that Jeka could see her) and nods her head in understanding.

"Unfortunately," she says grimly, "that's another thing that our Legions share."

"I would imagine that it's not uncommon among the Legions of various realities, yes," Jeka said with an nod of acknowledgment. "That doesn't make it any easier to talk about, however."

She took her hat off and turned it over in her hands for a moment before settling it back on her head. "I lost a very close friend of mine in tragic circumstances. I'm sure you understand."
