Shore Leave Part 3: The Return Of Stacy
Down on the surface of the planet Zokez II, Stacy's erstwhile (and hopefully much more relaxed) crew began receiving messages over their comm rings and omnicoms.
||Shore Leave is now over, please return to the site for pick up. I repeat, Shore Leave is now over, please return to the site for pick up. I hope you have enjoyed your stay on Zokez II, but all good things must come to an end. Please return to the site for pick up. If you do not return, you will be left behind.||
She means it, too. Better get your butts back to the ship.
[OOC: Please thread amongst yourselves!]

When Jamie started playing his whistle, Fletcher looked up. "What's that?"
no subject
His eyes flick to the whistle and back over again, narrowing thoughtfully as they take in the boy's apparent mood. "I've not seen ye for a bit. How are ye doing?"
no subject
He tried to brighten his mood. "Ah, I'm okay... It's just a little sad. I like this planet."

That thoughtful look is turned back on the pennywhistle, and he seems to be considering something. After a brief contemplation, he offers out the whistle. "Would ye like to try it?"
no subject
"Me? Um-- sure!" He lights up. "I don't know how to play one, though..."

Covering the three top holes with his left fingers, and the bottom three with his right, Jamie goes through a series of notes, where he lifts the fingers where appropriate. He does this fairly slowly, so Fletcher can get an idea of what to do.
When he's finished, he offers out the whistle again and asks, "Did ye want me to go over that again for ye or did ye want to try now?"
no subject
The notes don't seem to sound as good as when Jamie played them, but he keeps at it, not playing any discernible melody, just whatever comes to mind.
no subject
He's not exaggerating - some people can't even get the notes to come out when they first try. Sliding down to a fully seated position, he listens, letting Fletcher play with the whistle as long as he likes.
