Shop 'Till You Drop! [SO VERY OPEN]
It was nice to be out on solid ground, to breathe fresh and salt-tinged air, and to feel the real warmth of the sun on her neck and shoulders, Nanoha thought. She felt a very deep urge welling up within her breast to just take flight, to soar through an actual sky in the first time in months - and she had no doubt that she would.
But there were other things she had to take care of first. Like, for instance, swimsuit shopping with her best friend.
"Ooh, this store looks like it might have some cute ones!" Nanoha tugged on Fate's hand, pulling her towards one of the storefronts that lined this street of the bustling shopping district. Even if it didn't, there were still plenty of others to try, and plenty of cute outfits to convince Fate to try on.
(ooc: It might help to have just one thread for ALL YOUR SHOPPING NEEDS? Feel free to tag in and mingle, if you're shopping for clothes, groceries, games, whatever!)

Re: Clothes Shopping
When she came out of her dressing room, her eyes almost fall out of her head. She had to admit, once she put aside the usual reaction to clothes that were a little more revealing than what she was used to, Nura looked GREAT. She had expected the girl to look good of course, but the woman really had a flair for knowing just what to wear.
"I'm going to have to shop like you do!" Katara said, turning around to show off the skirt. "You look really good! I like the shirt!"
Re: Clothes Shopping
"Thanks! That skirt is zeta-cute, by the way. But maybe you should button-up the blouse a bit?" She doesn't want Katara to walk-out with her bra showing.
Re: Clothes Shopping
"Now, what about those shoes?"
Re: Clothes Shopping
She looks out the hallway of the dressing room, back into the store. "Flip-flops. A good pair of flip-flops is essential. You can get them dirty, scuff them, and they will always look good."
She reaches her arm behind her and tugs down the tye holding her hair in the ponytail, and then pulls it off, her wavy, white hair falling past her shoulders andd waving a little in the air-conditioned dressing room hallway.
"I suggest black, since it will go with anything and everything."
Re: Clothes Shopping
"Looks like sandals," she muttered, then shrugged and put them with the pile of clothing she was going to buy. They would be pretty easy to walk around in, and she was sure she'd be doing a lot of that.
She didn't miss the hair falling down to Nura's shoulder, and knew that they;d be getting eyes staring at them once they left this place. Nura probably had that effect on people.
"Black shoes, right!" she said, and went for a pair of nice black shoes. (http://images.halloweencostumes.com/shoes_flapper_black.jpg)
"What do you think?"
Re: Clothes Shopping
She takes the shoes into her hands and feels the texture. "Perfect for parties, events, and when you just want to look your stunning self."
The shoe-lover in her is eager to grab a pair herself, but she resists the urge by telling herself her money needs to be distributed properly (but if the next store they go to exclusively sells shoe, it will be torture).
Re: Clothes Shopping
She was sure she could make the money last the next few days.
Katara grinned. "In that case, now that we have the shoes, we should look for the boots, right? How are these?" (http://1.media.tumblr.com/hek4nsewhm3otav8x0BDGrHpo1_500.jpg)
Re: Clothes Shopping
Is it her, or does she really sound like someone's mother?
Re: Clothes Shopping
"Um, so these nightclubs: what kind of music do they play, and what do you wear? I mean, I get the dresses and the skirts, but if you were going to one of these kinds of places, what's the dress code?"
Re: Clothes Shopping
"But besides that, nightclubs are usually nothing formal. Just wear good dress, zeta-awesome shoes, and have your hair and make-up done perfectly so that you are a masterpiece upon the dance floor."
Re: Clothes Shopping
"I can do that," Katara said. "Heck, me and a friend of mine went undercover as nobles in a really fancy ball in my world, I'm sure that going to a club won't be too hard, right?"
Re: Clothes Shopping
Nura laughs briefly. "A regular Chameleon, huh? I don't a nightclub outing will require you to disguise yourself to get in and get out, though."
Re: Clothes Shopping
Katara shook her head. "No, I get that! I just want to have a chance to dress and act a little differently. When else am I going to get to do something like this?"
Re: Clothes Shopping
Re: Clothes Shopping
Re: Clothes Shopping
"I would love to," she says, reaching up and pushing back a lock of white hair with a genuine smile. "You and I can tear up the dance floor and show these land-dwellers how the crew of Stacy...really dances."
There's a nudgenudgenudge followed by a wink!
Re: Clothes Shopping
She said this last part in good humor though. Nura seemed like the type that could do just about anything. She had this sort of exoticism about her that reminded her a little of June from her world, that bounty hunter.
Re: Clothes Shopping
"Oh~, Sweetie, I have to warn you that I leave a lot of people out of breath," she starts walking towards the check-out counters.
Re: Clothes Shopping
"In that case, maybe you CAN keep up with me," Katara teased. "I look forward to seeing you on the dance floor."
