Shop 'Till You Drop! [SO VERY OPEN]

It was nice to be out on solid ground, to breathe fresh and salt-tinged air, and to feel the real warmth of the sun on her neck and shoulders, Nanoha thought. She felt a very deep urge welling up within her breast to just take flight, to soar through an actual sky in the first time in months - and she had no doubt that she would.

But there were other things she had to take care of first. Like, for instance, swimsuit shopping with her best friend.

"Ooh, this store looks like it might have some cute ones!" Nanoha tugged on Fate's hand, pulling her towards one of the storefronts that lined this street of the bustling shopping district. Even if it didn't, there were still plenty of others to try, and plenty of cute outfits to convince Fate to try on.

"Hm. I'm usually covered up out of necessity, not because I enjoy it."

Choline passed over the one-pieces, occasionally holding one or two items up if they had plunging necklines or daring cutouts.

"These are boring -- aha." Her silvery eyes lit up a little as she found the exact suit she had ogled in the front window. "I should probably get a pair of pants to go with this, but one thing at a time."

"The adventurous type, I like that. Though you're not supposed to wear pants with that." Which might prove to get an interesting reaction out of her.

"Why don't you try it on?"

She eyeballs it; it should probably fit.

"Yeah, alright. And I'm not a Goldshire hussy; I should at least cover up my ass when I'm not swimming."

She disappears into one of the fitting booths, but keeps talking. "You must have a girlfriend. Why else would you go shopping like this with someone?"

"I don't have a girlfriend," he corrected. Though that was infinitely complicated, as teenage romances were prone to being.

From the other side of the booth curtain, Choline sighed. "I had a mate. He showed up here, dead. I don't know why."

She was tearing up again, so she took a few deep breaths to steady herself. "So you can imagine that being onboard sucks twice over."

"Oh." Crap. "I'm sorry." Craaaaap.

His odds of getting laid just dropped like BP's stock. He needed to try to move this on to something less depressing. "But at least we get a nice break from that place."

"Eh. Shit happens." She threw back the curtain and stepped out.

"Yeah. A bit of a holiday is good. As for this thing... I think it's a little weird across the chest. And it'll take me forever to get used to this butt-floss thing."

Yep. She totally just picked out her thong-wedgie.

She laughed. "I'll keep that in mind," she said, turning back toward the mirrors. A little twitch of the strings had everything falling into place. "I still think some real clothes wouldn't be a bad idea, but this is a good start."
