(no subject)

Leaning back in his chair, Apollo stretches while giving out a loud yawn. He'd holed himself up in the Sensoriums, leaving the entrance open in case someone really wanted to use them, for a few hours. A large stack of paper was in front of him, and the table and floor around him was littered with various bits of crumpled... No, folded paper. Paper crabs, paper cranes, paper frogs, paper bugs... He's obviously been busy. In his hand, held between two fingers, is the start of another folded paper project.

He looks at the paper and sets it down, leaning over the back of his chair and letting his arms hang loosely for a bit. He's been at this for too long, but somehow the whole 'wait for a crewmember to stop by the most popular part of the ship for a bit of conversation' plan failed. "Maybe I should have tried the cafeteria?"

She chuckled. "Well, it might seem a little... presumptuous? At least to keep introducing myself as that all the time."

She thought for a moment, and a chair appeared opposite Apollo. Ahava settled down and leaned forward, cupping her chin in one hand as she watched his hands work. "It's almost a shame that they'll all vanish when the hologram disappears," she sighed. "Doesn't it seem like a waste?"

Ahava laughed and gently took the little goldfish. "Something like this getting destroyed seems like a waste to me," she said. "You put some measure of effort into making it, so isn't it only fair to respect that?"

"Still," she said. "It seems like a shame..."

Settling down to watch him work, Ahava split her attention between the paper constructions he was making and the man himself. "So, what did you used to do before Stacy brought you here, Apollo?"

"The Authority?" He said it like it was the name of a company or group, but the name meant nothing to her. Ahava tilted her head a little and frowned. "I've never really heard of them, sorry."

Ahava looked at the images with interest, but her mind was more focussed on what Apollo was saying. There was something about the wording choice that caught her attention.

"And if they do make a few stupid mistakes?"

That got a moment of silence. "A lot of people would disagree with that kind of reaction," Ahava eventually commented, her voice carefully neutral.

Ahava couldn't help but smile in return to the grin. "And you really think it'll work that easily?" she asked. "Some might argue that enforced good behaviour isn't good behaviour at all. What happens if you can't enforce it all the time?"

"Still, you have to be pretty powerful to be able to pull off something like that," she said. It was a careful statement. Ahava wasn't afraid of the man by any means, but she was understandably curious about what he was capable of.

Ahava laughed a little at that. "This Jenny seems to have had the right idea there. I doubt you'd last as long otherwise, for one thing."

Watching him for a moment, she added; "So, what are you capable of? If you don't mind the blunt question, that is."
