(no subject)

Leaning back in his chair, Apollo stretches while giving out a loud yawn. He'd holed himself up in the Sensoriums, leaving the entrance open in case someone really wanted to use them, for a few hours. A large stack of paper was in front of him, and the table and floor around him was littered with various bits of crumpled... No, folded paper. Paper crabs, paper cranes, paper frogs, paper bugs... He's obviously been busy. In his hand, held between two fingers, is the start of another folded paper project.

He looks at the paper and sets it down, leaning over the back of his chair and letting his arms hang loosely for a bit. He's been at this for too long, but somehow the whole 'wait for a crewmember to stop by the most popular part of the ship for a bit of conversation' plan failed. "Maybe I should have tried the cafeteria?"

What was this? Someone alone and in need of human interaction? Never fear, Sofia was here!

"Oh, you're really good." Sofia said, not bothering to ask permission before strolling into the room. "Can you teach me?"

"The cafeteria? Good God, man, why would you want to be around that so called 'food' for anything but meals?" Rei had been passing by and happened to overhear that, and just walked on into the room without knocking. He'd really come by the sensoriums to find a room of his own to mess around in for a while. He'd been to Kaylee's nice little party in the sensoriums a while back, but had yet to make anything for himself there. But he certainly wanted to try them out - they were so very Star Trek, and that was just cool.

"Thanks." Sofia took a seat. "My name is Sofia."

"Don't need to eat? Ch, lucky jerk," Rei said with a mock pout. "The rest of us needing-to-eat people are in for an extra treat today - gooey slop, oh yeah. Tasty."

He smiled and held out a hand. "I don't think we've met. Name's Rei."

"I try to pretend the cafeteria doesn't exist, mostly," Sheik said dryly, poking his head into the room. "I eat in here, whenever possible."

He approached curiously, noticing the paper creations in front of him. Paper folding wasn't an uncommon past time in Hyrule - some were quite familiar, too. "Those are good."

"Haha, that's true. Though, I think I'll officially be disturbed if the slop is ever crunchy."

Jeez, the dude is build like a Greek God, he thought was Apollo stood. Well then, the name Apollo was certain appropriate. The warmth of his hand confused Rei a bit, as well. "Actually, it's Brazilian," Rei replied, "short for Reimundo. Common as hell, and I don't really like it, but my middle name is even worse, and I share a last name with a fascist authoritarian former president of Brazil, so I just shorten my first name." He was curious about Apollo's name, but wasn't sure if he should ask.

Nanoha was on her way to the Sensoriums for her usual training, but she stopped when she saw the man - or more specifically, his origami. "Oh, origami!" Nanoha beamed at him. "I haven't seen good origami in ages!"

"Sure!" she smiled, flitting over to take the paper from him. "I haven't folded origami since I was a girl, but I'm pretty sure it's like riding a bike, right?"

Rei stuck out his forked tongue. "Eww, don't even wanna think about that. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss."

"Well, I'd be pretty happy with my name, too, if I were named after a Greek God. I can call myself a "Guardian of Time" all I want-" and yes, he actually did the finger quotes "-but it still doesn't have the same history and epic feel to it. Guess I just have to settle with being a member of a team named after Prometheus."

"It does," he nodded, and suddenly there was a cup of tea in his hands. "Unfortunately, it is actually the slop, it just doesn't look, taste, or feel like it."

For which he was profoundly grateful - especially when it came to the texture.

He settled down, still holding his cup in one hand, picking up a paper frog in the other. "I would be quite out of practise, I think," Sheik said with a quick smile, "I haven't done this for a while. May I?"

"Maybe you should have," Ahava agreed from the doorway. "Then we might have had the chance to meet sooner."

She wandered into the room further, glancing at the paper projects but choosing not to comment, for the moment anyway. "Unless there was some other reason you thought you should try the cafeteria instead?"

"You can't make these in the cafeteria. Can't even make faces in the goo."

Lyle has approached on soft feet, and he's examining the folded paper.

"Shame these aren't real. I'd have liked one of the little frogs."

"And if not improving morale, it'd certainly improve dinner." Sheik grins a little as he settles down, picking up a piece of paper and peering at it curiously. Hmm... maybe a simple star (or perhaps flower) shape.

"Oh, yes?" he asks, frowning thoughtfully down at a fold, "I was looking for something to occupy my time, so I suppose it's good we found each other." He smiles again, then offers, "I'm Sheik."
