KARAOKE DANCE PARTY!!! [OPEN, COME GRAB FREE CR!]
Everyone had been so nice to Ryo since he had awoken a day prior. He wanted to show his appreciation to his friends and the crew, and get a chance to meet others. So, he walked back into the sensoriums and imagined a place. As he opened his eyes, there was the Milk Dipper. Wood finish, stars decorating the place, rough hewn wooden tables and the telescope in it's pedestal at the center. Everything was as it should be, except for one thing. Behind the counter, looking very confused, was a green-skinned demon who bore no resemblance to Airi. Ryo registered his shock as the demon spoke.
"This... is NOT my bar..." The green one said, his own shock evident. He looked at Ryo. "And you're not Peter..." Ryo, not knowing what to do, bowed quickly.
"I'm sorry, Oni-san, I just wanted to throw a party for everyone, with karaoke and dancing, and I didn't mean to summon you!" The demon shook his head, waving Ryo off.
"It's Lorne, and you had me at karaoke. Now, this place.... I like it. Kind of a kitsch-meets-class thing going on... It does need to be bigger, though..." Lorne snapped his fingers and the cafe expanded, now as large as an auditorium. The telescope pedestal sat firmly in the center of a well-polished dance floor, underneath a disco ball and lighting set up. To the left of the counter was a stage with a karoake set-up, and behind the counter was now a lot more than just coffee. Otherwise, the decor remained the same.
"Alright, Ryo-kun." Lorne said with a smile. "Give everyone the heads up and get this party started." Ryo nodded, amazed by the demon's abilities, and gave a call on the omnicomms.

Because this whispering must look rather rude, he returns to Ryo. "There's an unknown phenomenon of moving light behind you, Nogami-san. When you attempt to look at it, it moves out of your line of sight. If I didn't know better, I'd reach the conclusion that it's taunting you."

Ryo, on the other hand, lit up like a kid at christmas. He recognized the ball of light, had seen it and many others like it in the past year or so.
"An... Imagin!" He said excitedly, however, he stopped as thoughts got into his head. He didn't know it was one of his friends, it could be any one of them...
"Usually they would have possessed or contracted someone by now, but this one seems dim..."
no subject
When Ryo explained, his eyes lit up in understanding. "So this is an Imagin," he says, attempting to memorize every detail. "Wait...when you say it possesses or contracts someone, why does it usually do that?"
Billy might have been edging back slightly, mentally reciting the litany he'd learned from Sheeana just in case.
no subject
"The Imagin... are kind of... powered by memories..." He said, carefully trying to word out his explanation. "Without a connection to a human with strong memories, they can't keep existing. Their appearance is tied to their host's imagination, and they can only take physical form in the present if they are granting a wish for a human. They try to grant wishes for people in exchange for using that person's strongest memory as a link that lets them fly to the past." He paused for a moment, sorting it out in his head.
"Not all of them are like that, though. My friends never made a real contract with me, they just connected to me and helped me. And another friend of ours, Sieg, made a contract with a mother to protect her baby, and didn't care about going to or harming the past."
no subject
"Then...this Imagin is here for you, Nogami-san? I wonder how it followed you here."
no subject
"It might be... But I saw all my friends..." He stopped and looked down, his expression darkening. He shook it off quickly, however, as he looked up as if he suddenly realized something.
"The... The monsters, we're supposed to fight... What they do to world's isn't natural, right?! It's not anything anyone could claim is meant to happen or belongs in the universe?!"
no subject
Billy closed his eyes in thought. If the Imagin had come here for that reason, maybe...
no subject
"I'M A SINGULARITY POINT! I MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIX IT!"
no subject
"I haven't exactly explained the full extent of the threat yet. I don't even know that, but...yes, you were definitely an excellent choice. I'm sure your skills will help us immensely, but it might take quite a while."
no subject
"
"<textcolor="purple">I'm talking to you from now on, okay?</textcolor>" This voice was different from Ryo's. It was higher pitched, childish. It was like a small child, not even pretending to be an adult.
no subject
"Okay," he parrots back. "How should I address you?" Because if he's going to effectively separate the Imagin from Ryo in his mind, he'll need a name. Preferably one that's better than 'lightball'.
no subject
"" This new incarnation of Ryo seemed both frightening and entertaining at once. Like a child with too much power.
no subject
The addition of the hat is strange, but he's seen stranger. "Why did you want to talk to me?" He'd better have possessed Ryo for a substantial reason, he thinks.
no subject
And soon, very soon, Billy might be able to understand. Well, everything.
" " The new child seemed to say, without effort. Then, he spoke again.
"" The imagin said while using Ryo's body to dance, happily...
no subject
That's an old familiar word, mentioned once or twice by another old friend. "Nee-san...that's your sister, right?"
no subject
"" He said happily, not understanding hyperbole, obviously. Then, like the child he obviously was, his mood changed suddenly, his expression shifting to a sullen one.
"" Now his tone was changing. He still sounded like a five year old, but there was a menacing, hateful undercurrent to his speech. "" He now raised his hand in a gun formation and pointed to a blank spot on the wall.
"" He said chillingly as he slammed his thumb into his land like a gunhammer. ""

At the same time, he felt a surge of fear. So...he tried for a placating approach. "We've all suffered tremendous losses in this war. And you feel that pain more acutely than anyone else, having retained a memory of it. If there is any way in the universe for us to reverse the damage they've done, we will. And we'll stop them in their tracks, somehow. I'm glad you agree." Even if Billy would prefer to use the least amount of force---but in this case, he knew, 'least amount of force' meant all-out war.
