Why now?

It was the worst possible time for it. The crew was about to be embroiled in a battle for their lives. Half of them were infested with alien parasites and restrained in MedBay.

||Pod Release Protocols Initating,|| Stacy's familiar voice sounded out to all the podmates.

In the Pod Caverns, there were the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.

There was condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slid out onto the floors, covered in slime.

Pop. Poppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiissss.

Nodding, Jo followed the spiraling walkway toward the ceiling. Her gaze swept across the expanse of the cavern and had to admit that she was rather impressed by the whole set up of the ... spaceship they were in.

"If you don't stop staring at my @$$, I'm going to knock your head off," she called back to Sawyer in an almost conversational tone as they got closer to the ceiling.

"It's kinda hard to miss, Sweet Cheeks," Sawyer commented with a rather smug look on his face as he continued to trail behind her.

Jo was about to turn about and make Sawyer eat half of his face, but luckily for him, Andromeda spoke up directing them toward a circular room with metal circles.

"That's your only freebie jack@ยงยง!" She snapped at him before doing as she'd been directed to and made her way into the room and stepped onto the circular circle.

Sawyer continues to scowl as he continues to eye the vines with suspicion. "Fine," he says, hesitating for a moment before moving into the room. "But no probing! Of any kind! Of anything! You got me, sister?"

[identity profile] deputyjo.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Whoa!! Hey watch where.... WHOA!" Jo cried, not really prepared for the vines grabbing her or that fact that they quickly clothed her in a strange leafy like bodysuit.

She staggered a little off to the side when she was finally put down and she quickly looked herself over with a slight frown. "Wow," she muttered. "Doesn't really leave much to the imagination now does it?"

"Suppose you could always take it off," Sawyer retorted as he was stepping into the room. Just then several vines wrapped around him and pulled him up off the ground and began to...clothe him...just as it had done to Miss Attitude a few seconds earlier.

"Whoa!" he squirmed, shifting back and forth as the vines twisted around his body. "Hey hey hey! I said no probing!"

"You get felt up?" Jo asked the man, her brow arching in amusement. "At least you didn't have to pay for this time."

She looked back to the walkway, "So where does this lead us?"

[identity profile] ford-sawyer-815.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 07:58 am (UTC)(link)
Sawyer cast a mocking 'oh-you're-funny' look at Miss Attitude but continued to Carol Ann (follow the lights) his way through the ship alongside her.

"I don't know, Mrs. Fletcher, why don't we find out together?"

[identity profile] deputyjo.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
"You know, if I push you over the edge of the walkway back there, there won't be a 'we' to find anything out," Jo pointed out before quickening her pace so she was once again walking ahead of the man.

Her threat brought him to a brief halt...and he smirked.

"Well now you're just turnin' me on," he said, then proceeded to continue following her (and the LIGHTS).

OK, so now he'd done it. The look on Jo's face said it all. Without even thinking about it, Jo spun around sending a right hook toward his face.

[identity profile] ford-sawyer-815.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
One minute he was following her down the corridor and then next minute...

CRACK!!

...her fist was in his face, sending him tumbling into a nearby wall.

"Wooo..." he exhaled, rubbing his jaw to both sooth away the pain and to check if she'd broken it. "...hot damn, where the hell'd you learn to hit like that?"

[identity profile] deputyjo.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
Jo groaned thinking that nothing short of actually killing the moron would get him to shut up. "Ex-Army Ranger... Next time though I'll lay your @ss out on the floor...."

[identity profile] ford-sawyer-815.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:24 am (UTC)(link)
Sawyer grinned smugly at Miss Attitude. "Yeah, you heard the lady. Grabby energy tentacles...from walls... So, keep your fists to yourself."

[identity profile] deputyjo.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:26 am (UTC)(link)
Jo shot him a smug look back, "Obviously you weren't listening. Stacy's offline, fool." She shot him a warning look and turned, continuing her way along the lighted path.

[identity profile] ford-sawyer-815.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh no, I was listenin'. She's offline. You can hit me. I can hit you," Sawyer replied, stepping forward and drawing close to Miss Attitude. "I guess it's just a good thing I''m such a gentleman. 'Cause I don't hit chicks."

[identity profile] deputyjo.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
She paused for a brief second, debating whether or not she was gonna wipe the floor with him, but decided against it. "You are such an @$$," she grumbled and then continued on walking.

"So, Andromeda? Where does this path lead?" She asked, making sure she addressed the hologram instead of leaving it open for Sawyer to answer.

[identity profile] ford-sawyer-815.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
"You noticed!" Sawyer said rather proudly.

Of course the fact that he waited until Miss Attitude was several paces ahead of him before he followed her had nothing to do with fear...of course not...
