The thing you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even you.
Ax had escaped the Controllers on board. Brainy had not been so lucky. Neither had Sam and Tim. And who knew how many others on board had Yeerks wrapped around their brains, controlling their every movement, pretending that everything was normal until the time came to strike.
Who do you trust, podlings?

The Statuary
There's Kal's memorial/commemorative statute in the Statuary. (Commemorative, since he turned out to be alive, after all).
The Statuary

Re: The Statuary
"Does it matter? It's pretty weird."
Re: The Statuary
Re: The Statuary
It's clear by the expression on her face that she was wondering if she'd ever get one.
"Maybe it's, like, from an alternate reality or something. Either that, or there are some supremely bored art students aboard this ship somewhere."
Re: The Statuary
Re: The Statuary
She then stepped closer to the younger teen, "There's something else about that statue that you need to know."
She then quickly threw two punches into Danny, one in his solar plexus and the other at his head.
Re: The Statuary
"What the- What the heck was that for?!"
Re: The Statuary
Sorry, Kon and Kara. No, wait--he's not. His face is cool and calculating, watching their responses.
Re: The Statuary
"Tim--what...why...?"
He gags, not throwing up--oh wait, the next time, he does throw up, and spits, then turns over to fall on his side, twitching and gasping, looking up at his friend, his face twisted in pain and shock.
"......"
Re: The Statuary
She won't form words. Not now. She needs to gasp and breath. She needs to save her energy. Feebly, she makes a move to swipe and the Boy Blunder.
Re: The Statuary
She carefully aimed it at him, and there was only the slightest hesitation, before she fired at him.
Re: The Statuary
Re: The Statuary
He ignores the fighting over near the statue of a big ship between Speedy, Kate, and Danny, and sucks in a deep breath.
"Tim, you can fight this," he says in a wavery voice, staring in Tim's eyes with his own clear blue ones. "If it's you, and something's been done to you, you can--you're strong enough. Stronger than me. I couldn't--couldn't. So hard. When Luthor...but you can."
No one in the world has as strong a will as Tim's is, except for maybe Bats.
"You can beat this."
He believes in you, Tim. More than he's ever believed in himself with this kinda stuff.
Re: The Statuary
It wasn't a lie, either. Out of the people there, three of the ones attacked had powers.
The other two didn't.
Re: The Statuary
He can't even move his body enough to close the lid to the lead box and save his best friend.
His eyes are pleading with Kon from behind his mask. "I--can't," he says finally. "Go."
Re: The Statuary
She lunges in, angling her knuckles to tag under one of his arms.
Re: The Statuary
It's not time for jokes, but she needs to do something to hang on and calm herself down.
Re: The Statuary
"She has so many secrets, including her skills. Want to see?" She crowed before she lunged forward to tackle and wrest Mia to the floor before she could come in contact with Tim.
Re: The Statuary
Not that she interfered, but her foot-speed.
Mia shifted her focus, pulling back the arm ready to strike Robin and bending back at the waist, dodging most of Kate's advance. She grabbed one arm and shifted behind it, swinging her other elbow at Kate's shoulder.
She'd worry about apologizing for any injuries later. Ollie had taught her plain and simple. When your allies start acting not themselves, you take them down hard and fast. You don't waste time trying to get through to them or asking why it's happening.
Re: The Statuary
She wanted to take her down as well. She knew from the host the other young woman's skills. But clearly not all.
It didn't help the host had a satisfied grin, and was hoping Mia kicked both of their asses.
Re: The Statuary
She swung her fist up under Kate's arm, the same hand position as she'd prepared for Robin. If she hit the nerve cluster correctly, Kate would lose the use of one arm for a few hours, and be hurting a lot.
