Time for the 'meat' and greet
[NOTE: This takes place DURING the holiday plot. If your character is involved in that, then they're still on the surface and not on the ship at this time.]
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. The mission is still going on, so if your character is offship, they won't be around for this.]

The sound of his voice was urgent, he didn't want to see her lose control again. Not like when he had appeared.

"Please, it wasn't her fault."

Nate couldn't turn her away. He wouldn't be able to hold her arm for very long, either because in a matter of seconds Cassie had gone from her normal, average height to nearly 20 feet.
"She murdered my dad." There was something in her eyes that no one had ever seen in her before. It hadn't been there when she saw Kang kill Tony, Cap, and Jessica Jones. It hadn't been there when her mother slapped her or her step-father hit her. But it was there now.
She was ready to kill.

Nate took a step back, and away from Cassie as she grew. She was too tall for him to reach her, to try and calm her. If he'd had his armor he could have flown up to her. But he didn't, all he could do was look up at her, worry written through every line of his face.
"Cassie! Cassie please calm down!" He called up to her the best he could. "I know how you must feel, but you can't do this! She's not that person yet, she may never be!"
"What about me? I'm supposed to grow up and become Kang! You gave me a chance. We've got to give her the same. Please! Please calm down." His voice went quiet at the end. What could he do? Nothing. He couldn't stop her if she tried to hurt the woman, and what if she got hurt in the process? What if the other crew members hurt Cassie? Or worse, what if she managed to do what her eyes said she was going to.
"Cassie please..."

And he was right. If this was a Scarlet Witch who hadn't killed her father yet, if this was someone from another world, then she had no right to be upset. Especially when she had given Nate a chance.
And the more she looked the more she realized that this wasn't that Scarlet Witch. She was too young, too together to be.
Even as she willed herself back down to normal size, Cassie turned and ran into the pod caverns. She pushed past anyone in her way without a second thought. “STACY!” She yelled, moving down past the clothing area. “Where’s my dad?” She came to a stop in the pod caverns. Cassie gasped and choked on a sob. She walked slowly at first down the lines of the pods, looking at each form. “WHERE IS HE?!” She screamed and nearly fell onto her knees. “I WANT MY DAD!” She bent over and clutched her chest. “I need my dad.” She had stopped holding back the tears long ago and they fell from her cheeks onto the floor. But Cassie didn’t fall to the floor and dissolve into tears or shrink into nothing. Instead, before Nate could catch up with her, she stood back up and ran up the walkways, down the paths, anywhere. She kept running and running, passing by some human shapes and some clearly non human shapes. “Do you hear me Stacy? I know he’s here somewhere! I kn-” She tripped and couldn’t catch herself, sliding down the walkway until she came to rest at a platform.
Cassie didn’t stand this time. Instead she pulled her knees up against her chest and held herself.
“I need you, Dad…”

The moment she shrank back to normal size, Nate was after her. He called out apologies to the people she pushed as he had to shove a few out of his way as well, as he went racing after her. "Cassie! Cassie wait, god damnit." Had she always been so fast? He was glad some part of what he'd said had gotten through to her, but now he was worried about her
Seeing her run through the caverns like this, wild eyed, desperate. It was heart-wrenching. He didn't want to see her like this. Didn't want to see her in such pain. But he couldn't just leave. Couldn't just leave her alone to wander in here. A short, sharp cry escaped him as she fell, and he was beside her in a moment.
Kneeling beside her, he slid an arm under her to cradle her close, taking the moment to check if she was hurt. Leaning close to her, his arms tightened around her and he whispered quietly, soothing close to her ear. "Shhh. Cass, you gotta keep it together, girl. You're not alone. We're all in this with you. I'm here with you. I'm not going anywhere, I promise."

"[I have no doubt that your father is in here somewhere, Cassie,]" he said softly. "[He is both a hero in his own right, and someone very dear to you. I cannot think of any reason that Stacy would not have him somewhere in the Caverns. Or, if not Stacy, one of the other Transmigration ships.]"
He really, truly hoped that he was not lying to her. But even if he was, he would lie until his voice box fell out to keep her happy.

When the other boy (sort of) spoke, Nate sighed quietly, relaxing a little. Jonas had just worded it far more eloquently than he could have at the moment. He'd been a little busy freaking out.
Looking across Cassie at his 'brother' he mouthed the words, 'You should hold here. She needs you.' Hopefully that was clear enough.

"He should be here. He should be here by now." She shook and held back a sob.
Where was he?
no subject
'Stay,' he mouthed back. 'She might need you too.' It was uncomfortable to admit, and Jonas did not care to explore exactly why those words had come to his lips. He focused instead on Cassie again, adjusting his position to make her more comfortable and stroking her hair.
"[Stacy is still broken, and is letting people out at random. Once she fully repairs herself, we will be able to find your father. He would be here if he could.]"

Nodding at the request, he stayed on his knees, simply holding one of Cassie's hands in both of his. He wasn't going to leave her alone. Not again. Not like last time. He could at least be here this time when she needed him. He squeezed her hand gently, worriedly, but didn't say anything.
Jonas seemed to have more power to think logically in this situation than he did. And he was content for now, to let him do the talking.

She also held onto Nate's hand.
"I can't do this."

He had not yet made it to the Obs Deck to see the new arrivals.

He paused, catching Jonas mouthing. 'Tell you later.'
