Time for the 'meat' and greet

[NOTE: This takes place DURING the holiday plot. If your character is involved in that, then they're still on the surface and not on the ship at this time.]

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. The mission is still going on, so if your character is offship, they won't be around for this.]

It might have struck some people as odd to see a mist draw to a sudden stop, as if something had caught it's ethereal attention. But, that was impossible...right?

The thing mist wafted over, circling around the blond archer a moment before a faint sound seemed almost like a whisper issued from it. A faint hissing that turned into a name in the thinnest possible of voices that managed to sound startled.

"Ssssssss-Cissssssie?"

Cissie looked around at the sound and looked up. Her heart stopped in her chest as she watched the mist. That wasn't normal, even for her. She felt the tears in her eyes and looked to the ground. The mist reminded her of Greta, but the girl wasn't the Secret anymore. When she had left her, she was just a normal girl, trying to fit in at their school. This was too much. Maybe she should have gone to the planet.

It was indeed Cissie! The mist rose, revolving slowly as it timidly coalesced into the shape of something vaguely human. More and more solid the mist became until there, hovering semi solid and very much naked, was one Greta Hayes.

"Cissie! I thought I had been taken, to be studied again. I was so scared! I was going to hide, but then I saw you!"

A still trailing bit of mist seemed to offer her some modesty from prying or even inadvertent eyes as she threw her arms around her friend.

Cissie watched the mist, her eyes widening as it shaped. She felt her heart start pounding in her chest and a small sound escaped, that might have been her friends name. But the next moment, when Greta's arms wrapped around her, she screamed. Loudly.

"GRETA! OH MY GOD IT'S YOU!!" She bounced and cried and clung to her friend. It was Greta. Secret, but Greta. Her best friend, her sister was here!!

Squealing and screaming and crying as only teenage girls could produce, filled the air around them. Greta clung to her friend, weeping tears of joy at not only not being alone, but having found one of the people who she was closest to int he whole world.

"I heard the voice saying all these horrible things about the world being gone...about people being dead

Cissie didn't want to think about all that. She just clung to Greta and buried her face in her shoulder. "Not yet. Talk later. Enjoying this to much." She snuffled a bit and squeeled. "This is so much better than having Slobo, Kon, and even Bart popping up. God Greta, you have no idea how much I've missed you."

[identity profile] the-mist-girl.livejournal.com 2010-01-02 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
She could agree to that, more than happy to let the details wait while she held on to the one concrete thing in her world right now. Plus.."Kon, Bart, Slobo? Their here too?" Ok, so maybe this wasn't hell and wasn't as scary as she worried about when she first slipped from that pod thing.

"Well, I guess we meant it pretty seriously when we said we'd always be there for each other." Except hen it came to springing her dad of course, none of them had been ok with that. Well, ok Slobo had, the rest turned her down flat.

"Tim and Cassie are too. So, we're all together. Well except for 'Nita, but I'm sure she's not far behind you." She laughed and moved a hand off wiping at her tears. She was just so happy to see Greta. "I'm so happy you're here. I could just... scream." She laughed and hugged Greta again.

The fact that all of her teammates might be there, all save one anyway, was a shock to her but one that filled her with joy. Could it be possible that they had all been brought here, as it seemed they had been lead so many other times in their lives, to a place where they were needed?

Did everyone have that happen? It seemed to be the overriding theme of her life at this point. But still, to be here among friends, well it was better than being on her own any day! "When I woke up and couldn't get out I thought the DEO was after me again. No matter where we are now it has to be better than that."

[identity profile] notaheroanymore.livejournal.com 2010-01-03 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Well it's not the DEO, from what I've seen they aren't here at all. So no worries there. However, these guys the Ohm, they destroyed out home worlds. They're all gone. Everyone we ever loved, they're all gone. Or in the pods. But..." She shook her head and frowned. "I don't think my mom's in the pods."

That was a smack of reality that had not quite set in for Greta yet. The world was gone and so were their parents, friends and family. Greta's perpetual smile turned down for a moment.

"But..my father... I never got him out of prison! He was depending on me and...and...now he's gone."

Cissie stopped and wanted to cry. Her father. The one who had rejected her when she had gone to help him. She shook her head and wanted to cry all over again. "I'm so sorry Greta."
