Time for the 'meat' and greet
[NOTE: This takes place DURING the holiday plot. If your character is involved in that, then they're still on the surface and not on the ship at this time.]
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. The mission is still going on, so if your character is offship, they won't be around for this.]

She had been dressed up by some tentacles in a suit which was oddly pulsating on her skin.
And now she was on the observation deck of what looked like to be gigantic spaceship, chosen for some sort of greater purpose.
This was the best day of her life.

Her energy said it all; she was elated about something. And someone who was elated when they'd been told their worlds were dead, well, that was curious and must be investigated.

"They call me Billy Blin, from most accounts a no good bloody lout who may as well be from Chiswick, but don't believe everything you hear. Truth is far sweeter; I'm a troubadour." He flashed a smile; he believed in audience participation, after all.

"Name's Lash, from most accounts a not good evil world conquering Black Hole Commanding officer, but don't believe everything your hear...actually it's mostly true, but I ended up in Orange Star before coming here, so I guess I'm not as bad as before. I still like explosions anyway, tee hee hee." She gave him a small salute back.

"Eh, past is past, kid. Good, evil, it's really all just about moral justification, aye? Although, I suppose a bit o' that does get tossed out the window the second someone names themselves 'black hole'... kind hard to put a positive spin on that one... Nice to meet ya anyway."
