Time for the 'meat' and greet

[NOTE: This takes place DURING the holiday plot. If your character is involved in that, then they're still on the surface and not on the ship at this time.]

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. The mission is still going on, so if your character is offship, they won't be around for this.]

Wolfwood looked over his shades at the man after the handshake, shifted the cross on his shoulder nervously, and took a puff of his smoke.

"Okay, so why am I here? What's going on? I'm... kind of confused, sorry."

"Truth be told, we're not entirely sure. We've been told that all of us here were 'rescued'," re: probably kidnapped, "from universes that were on the brink of destruction. We were supposedly saved to help fight the people responsible for destroying our universe, a race known as the Ohm.

"Problem is, the people who rescued us were forced to abandon ship at one point while we were all still in the pods, and trashed Stacy, the main AI, and all the records before they left. A group of space pirates took over the vessel at some point, and damaged the systems further. But once Stacy repaired herself enough, she started waking up a few of us at a time and kept us locked in part of the ship until there were enough of us to overtake the pirates." So, in effect, the inmates are running the asylum.

"We were able to talk to the people who headed the fleet this ship was part of, but we haven't been able to verify, one way or another, what we've been told."

Wolfwood heard it all with a grim look on his face, finally shaking his head. This wasn't what they would want for him. This wasn't what he had wanted. And he was going to change the odds.

"I'm not sure how much help I can be..." He said sheepishly. "I'm not a fighter... I'm a priest who ran an orphanage. I can take care of kids, do small repairs, and cook. Otherwise, I don't know why I was rescued."

"We don't expect everyone to fight." He already knew not everyone was cut out for that. "But we do expect everyone to contribute in some way or another. Or at the least, stay out of trouble," which, surprisingly, a lot of people didn't seem able to do.

Wolfwood nodded happily.

"Excellent! This world is made of love and peace, as a friend of mine said once. So, how can I help? Again, my job experience is limited, but I'll do what I can, sir!" He seemed rather excessively happy at hearing he didn't have to fight.

....Leon wouldn't necessarily say it was made of Peace and Love, but that's neither here nor there.

"Right now, a good chunk of the crew is off the ship. When they get back, we can get a better idea of who needs what. In the meantime, you should take a look around, see the rest of the ship, get yourself settled in and all of that."
