Where's a good distraction when you need one?
They haven't been all getting locked away in experiments. Well maybe they had at times and somehow found the way to block it out.
It's a mystery.
But now there was a Nathan, a Xander, and a Kate all milling around the Living Area. Nathan was currently pacing around, while Kate was checking her bow on one of the fleshy seats. Xander was resisting the urge to poke the weird sculpture just from sheer boredom.
If there was ever a group that needed distractions, it would be them.
(ooc: Tossing the lot in since been ages that they're all had posts and threads. Newly popped pups, come on in. Old pups, definitely stop by. Especially any car keys one. My AIM's Whspr2ascrm13 if you need to ping. Tag any of them individually, just say you want in the thread. The post will be open forever for threads.)

"Probably still a lot down there to check out anyway. Especially if we got to worry about anything else sneaking out." Why she kept herself armed and ready at all times.

Into the Hub and down to the fourth level they go!
"Besides, between your mighty arrows and my stick, I think we've got it covered long enough for back-up to arrive."

She seemed bemused as they walked along.
"Oh come on, usually we *are* the backup, we'll be fine."

"God I miss New York."

One of them was draped across Kate's shoulders as they wandered along. Paco did seem to have a destination in mind, though.
"Yeah. I know the feeling." He sighed.

"Well we all do. Wondering if we'll ever get back."

Unless time travel was doing screwy things to the timeline. Which was entirely possible, but threatening him with a headache.

Kate glanced at some of the buildings.
"So what's around here?"
no subject
He grinned and pointed down the street or path or whatever it was the wound between the buildings toward the rusty-looking shack where he and the other kidnappees had holed up once they'd gotten out of the nest.
"We found this really cool thing in the clock house. I wanted to show it to you."
no subject
"Is it behind the run down kind of crackhouse-y looking building?" Kate dubiously asked once she caught sight of the shack in the distance.

She continued walking alongside him though.

Paco gestures her into the clock house. As suggested, all four walls were absolutely covered in clocks, all of them stopped just before three.
There was a platform in the center of the room, turning slowly and ticking away quietly.
"Guess where they keep the secret passage."

The minute hand on the clock face bobbed back and forth, and he pushed it into the o'clock position. One by one, all of the other clocks in the shack clicked to three and the doors and windows shut tight.

"I was so close, darn. So what's my consolation prize?"
no subject
"Make-out session down by the pool?" he said, grinning and pointing at the hole in the wall that had just opened up inside the grandfather clock. "I think it's even Stacy-free down there."
no subject
"Mmm... sounds like fun."

An hour or so later (who could tell on this weird-ass ship anyway?), Paco and Kate exited the clock house, the former looking quite pleased with himself indeed.
"Hmmm," he said, tapping his finger against his chin. "Where to next..."
no subject
"How about somewhere there's towels?"
