Where's a good distraction when you need one?

They haven't been all getting locked away in experiments. Well maybe they had at times and somehow found the way to block it out.

It's a mystery.

But now there was a Nathan, a Xander, and a Kate all milling around the Living Area. Nathan was currently pacing around, while Kate was checking her bow on one of the fleshy seats. Xander was resisting the urge to poke the weird sculpture just from sheer boredom.

If there was ever a group that needed distractions, it would be them.

(ooc: Tossing the lot in since been ages that they're all had posts and threads. Newly popped pups, come on in. Old pups, definitely stop by. Especially any car keys one. My AIM's Whspr2ascrm13 if you need to ping. Tag any of them individually, just say you want in the thread. The post will be open forever for threads.)

Paco poked his head into one of the stalls. "They even have toilet paper! This is my favorite building on board this ship forever."

Kate was currently drying her hair.

"What was that?" she yelled.

[identity profile] flunkingspanish.livejournal.com 2009-01-19 10:52 am (UTC)(link)
Paco ripped off a hank of toilet paper and flapped it in Kate's direction.

"This building has toilet paper! Instead of creepy plants! It is the best building ever!"

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-20 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Her eyes widened, "Seriously? Oh I'm totally going to stop down here instead."

When possible, though likely not dealing with sucking plants in private areas would be great motivation to hold it.

"Man. It says a lot about this situation that we're excited to have toilet paper," Paco said, shaking his head. He looked around, taking a closer look at the graffiti. "And now how normal this place looks is giving me the creeps." He grinned. "Bets?"

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-20 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, well come on, something familiar for once. And what you got there?"

She stepped closer to peer at the graffiti.

Pretty standard bathroom graffiti. Tags, swear words, 'for a good time, call X', the usual stuff.

"Think anything's wrong with it?" he asked, nudging the stall doors open one by one. The bathroom was just too normal for him to believe it.

Or maybe the ship was just making him paranoid.

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-21 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Other than it being a typical public restroom, like you'd see at the mall or by the subway?"

[identity profile] flunkingspanish.livejournal.com 2009-01-21 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
"It looks like a bathroom you'd find in the mall, but it's on this ship," Paco said. "Wouldn't you say that makes it suspicious?"

He continued to explore the bathroom, checking each stall for portals to another dimension or something.

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-21 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
She shrugged, "So? Maybe it got lifted from somewhere like the rest of the buildings?"

[identity profile] flunkingspanish.livejournal.com 2009-01-21 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, but if it is holding something, I'd like to know so I don't get caught with my pants down. Literally."

He paused at the very end of the row, where the stall door was decorated by the words 'Out Of Order' and a holographic bio-hazard sign. "Huh. I rest my case."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-21 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Ok, that could be something. Ew, we don't want to know what's behind it do we?"

[identity profile] flunkingspanish.livejournal.com 2009-01-21 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
"No, we probably don't," Paco said. " 'Bio-hazard', huh? Might be worth hauling Jaime in here for a scan."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-22 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
She folded her arms in front of her again.

"If we can get him."

[identity profile] flunkingspanish.livejournal.com 2009-01-22 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"Being the sidekick means that I'm allows to grab him and make him look at weird things, and make fun of him if he whines," Paco said. "He'll come."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
"Should we do that now, or wait till you run into him again?"

[identity profile] flunkingspanish.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Ehh, not like it's rattling or anything," Paco said, shrugging. He grinned. "If you need to use a stall, I can always stand guard and beat the crap out of anything that comes out of this one..."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Think I'm good."

She then paused for a moment.

"Eh, you know what? Why wait?" She then headed to a more accessible stall, and shut the door behind her.

[identity profile] flunkingspanish.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
Paco laughed and leaned against the wall next to the bio-hazard door.

"If something tries to grab you, shoot it full of arrows. It's more afraid of you than you are of it. Or at least it will be."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-25 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
"Better be," She remarked, and a short while later there was a flush, and Kate finally emerged to wash her hands.

"Everything's still normal."

[identity profile] flunkingspanish.livejournal.com 2009-01-28 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
"Door didn't even rattle," Paco said, jerking his thumb at the bio-hazard sign. "Whatever's in there must be asleep. Or dead, I'm cool with dead."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2009-01-28 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Probably not anything in there really, and there's just a stupid sign outside."

[identity profile] flunkingspanish.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
"On this ship?" Paco said, raising his eyebrows. "I'm going with "something's there and now it's dead", just to be safe."
