Tucked away in a corner of the bazaar is a wee little shop, painted in bright gaudy colors meant to specifically to catch the eye of any passerby. Unlike some of the other nearby food stalls that sell more savory goods, this one seems to specialize in sweets and desserts. There are all sorts of strange looking things here to tempt one's sweet tooth, from bright pink and black cake-like rolls dusted in powered sugar, to a green jelly-like substance cut into cubes and studded with nuts, to lemon sherbets, wrapped pieces of taffy and everything in between.

Jamie stumbles across the shop completely on accident, but finds himself drawn in by the display. His attention is caught by a tray of what looks like rock candy. However, each carefully arranged piece glows ever so faintly, as if lit from within. The shop merchant, realizing that there is a potential customer here, hastily covers up a hole left by a previous purchase, blocking the small, low wattage lightbulb that is actually the source of the illumination. The Scot, his attention focused on a goodly-sized chunk of the stuff (in red, of course), is too distracted to notice.

"Hey, would ye look at that!"

What would a glowing candy taste like, he wonders? It's definitely tempting to buy some right away, but as he turns his head, he spots a display of tiny warriors made out of marzipan, and he wanders away from the glowing candy to go take a look. At this rate, he might be here some time...

Kaya's visit to the bazaar, along with the credits in hand, had put her in the redecorating mood. Everyone was still starting to get used to the difference between her and when she had Katara's memories: she figured it was time to show how alike they weren't. A few days ago, she had promised to start redecorating the room she shared with Alex, and this was the perfect opportunity.

She started by purchasing goza mats, getting some sliding doors (which were a lot heavier then they looked, thank goodness for Chase's training), and very pretty fish tapestry. Once those were collected, she smiled to herself and started to look for things she could get for Alex, specifically, this black light he spoke about.

She had also picked up a few outfits and some foodstuffs for the Outsiders and Matt, smiling to herself. This way her money would be used up soon, but at least she was starting to show some of her individuality. For the moment, she was sitting at a cafe, sipping a refreshing alien drink, goggles atop her head.
It had taken many months to get to this stage, gathering the materials, constructing and aligning each individual part, the long process of linking crystals. Now the project that had taken much of her time and effort since she had first began its construction not long after the battle of Zokez II, near six months past. The paired gateway system, a device that would(if all went to plan) connect two points in space to allow near instantaneous travel between the two locations, something that would greatly aid in evacuations.

Because it's an alien planet, there's gotta be green skinned babes somewhere or ones with three boobs. So what if it's early/late for bachelor night? Dean thinks his good buddy Kang needs to loosen up some. And what's better for that then drinks and getting some? Everything's for sale, and he's rich now with his memories so why not share wealth?

It helped he already had a few drinks before catching up with the draconian.

"Kang, dude, come on. Just a little further, man," he was beaming with his 'I got a plan because I am so awesome' face.
Just off the bazaar was a large cantina, built to keep out the heat from outside. The bar circled all the way around the oblong building and in the center of the room a group of musicians played fast-paced music with a heavy beat. XaXingian dancers wearing colorful veils whirled like the metaphorical dervish, swaying and moving to the beat.

Chris was starting to feel like he was in the middle of an old movie. Though the place had a good brew that they served up when he asked for a beer, so he was happy. He wasn't positive it was beer, since when he asked for clarification Stacy's translation engines turned the bartender's explanation into something about curtains, but it tasted good enough and he'd already had two and he wasn't lying dead on the ground yet. All in all, not bad.

And god, was it nice to get off of that ship for a while. He may have been an old Air Force man, but Chris liked flying in things that had an atmosphere around them.

It was hot as hell and brought back memories of Africa, but somehow XaXing seemed cooler than the inside of the ship. Not to mention a chance to buy some supplies, his first since the day he woke up out of the pods. And that meant clothes, and supplies for his gun, a couple new knives (including a beautiful machete), a few bags of candy, fresh fruit, and cigarettes.

He lit up a cigarette and took a long drag. Ah... thank god for shore leave.

[OOC: Feel free to set your own threads in this bar if you'd like! The bar serves a wide variety of drinks, some familiar, some alien, some kind of upsetting, and also does alien bar food of the same varieties. You could dance, too, if you like kind of Bollywood-style music and alien bellydancers. Just make it obvious if your character is talking to Chris or not so I'll know if I should respond. Have fun!]
