I have to admit, it's getting better
Asuka felt ecstatic. She'd gone down to the hangar in the dim hope that she might be able to find her Eva. It had taken her a while, of drifting through the multitude of vehicles, hoping to catch a glance of a familiar shade of red. And she had. When she'd seen it, she'd let out a whoop of joy and pushed off of the wall, shooting up to it's shoulder (the zero-g had taken her a while to get used to, though).
It was locked in place, staring out over the hangar. She settled on the shoulder with a grin, legs dangling as she leaned against it's neck. For some reason, it's presence just made her feel better. Safer. Like she could handle everything that was being tossed at her. She almost wanted to crawl inside it just now, but her plugsuits were stashed back in her new (admittedly spartan) room.Besides, now she was invincible. She had her Eva. When she was in it, nothing could stop her.
Nothing at all.

Aircraft, machines, automobiles, all here. He even found a number of G.U.N. machinery and some of Eggman's crafts.
As he wandered, though, he saw the strange red machine, the redhead leaning against its neck. Looks like she found something close to her.
Pushing off from where he stood, he went to join her near the machine. "I take it this is yours?"

Well, universe, really.

"You seem pretty proud of it, aren't you? What makes it so special?"
He's just curious.

She grinned up at him, floating a bit in the zero-g environment, "By the way, I"m Asuka Langley Soryu!"
She laughed, "And what makes it special? Everything! It's virtually immune to conventional weaponry, including tactical nuclear weapons!"

"Shadow. Shadow the Hedgehog." the creature replied, returning the grin. "Though... immune to conventional weaponry, huh?" He made his way over to the head, giving it a pat. "Sounds like we got ourselves a real keeper." Pulling himself down, he looked out over the hangar. "...it's amazing what humanity can make. Weapons so big or..." He looked down at himself, clenching his hands into a fist. "...so small."

When she came across a looming shape in the darkness as big as Lander buildings, she'd experienced a brief surge of hope. Basroil was this big. Graceful in the Zero G as a fish in water, she'd pushed off towards it.
When she got closer though she let out a small cry of surprise. The figure was huge, crimson and humanoid. Though it was covered in plate, Lafiel felt something disturbingly organic about it. Perhaps it was the four eyes, like those of some malevolent deep sea beast.

She patted it again and then gestured to Lafiel, feeling rather generous. She was in a good mood, after all.
"Come on up!"

Meluly drifts her way over in the zero-G, navigating the hangar's support struts and mechanisms to get a clear open view up the Eva's length. She's not going to touch it, though... after all, her own Malach wouldn't like being touched.

She finds something to push off of, making her way smoothly up towards the Eva's head.
"It's quite a sight!"

"The design is similar enough that I'd almost think it was an Engel model, if it wasn't so... big."

When she set her eyes on the thing, she knew what it was even if Asuka hadn't been right next to it. After all, hadn't Asuka shown this to her in the Sensoriums before?
"Eva 02," she said in awe. "Wow. It's even bigger than it seemed in the Sensoriums. And its so..."
Words failed her.
