Hail the Conquering Heroes

Things can happen without Stacy knowing, that much is apparent now. The damage to her sensors is significant. But the fighting clued her in.

After it's all over, after those captured have been rescued, after the injured have been tended to, only the nest is left, and Stacy takes care of it.

||Infestation of Cluster 42, Level 4, Sector 7, Sublevel 12, Zone 37 has been detected. Triggering internal defenses. Decontamination commencing.||

There is a pause.

||Decontamination complete.||

Simple as that, once she knows the problem was there. Her internal sensors are damaged, especially in the city, and so are some of the systems monitoring them. You have to know what's broken to know to fix it.

Such a simple thing and it only took one man dying to make it happen. (His body is gone, by the way, ripped to shreds and eaten. There's not even a spot of blood on the floor. That's the bugs' doing. The bugs' bodies are gone too--that's Stacy's doing).

||Any injured personnel that still have not received medical attention, report to the nearest lift, and you will be transported to the MedBay. Any uninjured personnel, report to the Living Area, to the restroom facilities to undergo decontamination of xenobiological material. Then report to the Obs Deck to meet your new crew-mates.||

Said crew-mates--and the Doctor, who'd skipped out and miraculously ducked and weaved his way to the lift when he'd realized the Master was there--are there and waiting, and just a tad confused.

"Insolent little-" Starscream was close to firing, but a quick look around prevented him from it. It wasn't the fact that the fleshings were potentially armed that worried him; it was the fact that they outnumbered him.

No, better to wait to blast the Autobot or throw him out the airlock. "Are you finished?" he asked after a moment.

"...huh. I figured you try to shoot me by now. Not that you'd be able to hit me."

That just earned an indignant snort from Starscream. "Unlike you, I have the sense to take other things into account before trying anything."

Well, usually. The montage of death was something of an exception.


He did bring his null rays up to bear, though. "But if you're so eager to try and prove it..."

And suddenly Bee is behind him.

"Don;t call myself the fastest thing on four wheels for nothin'."

All right, now the Autobot is asking for it more than he was before. (Before, he was asking for it by the mere fact of existing.)

"You won't have any wheels left by the time, I'm through with you!" And zap go the null rays, directed at Bumblebee. However, the shot goes wild, thanks to the sudden appearance of both tentacles and Screamer's old friend, PAIN.

"AUGH!"

||Violence towards podmates is unacceptable. Starscream, you have received your first warning. Further incidents will result in Violations. 15 Violations will result in Punishment.||

Starscream-once he manages to get his wits together again-doesn't find it so funny. With a grunt, he pulls himself back to his feet, glaring daggers at...well, he would be glaring daggers at Stacy had she a proper face. Instead he settles for glaring at the general area.

"Warnings," he spits, then points at Bumblebee. "Take this as your warning, Autobot! I'll find a way!"

"Y'know, I know I've only a bit of experience dealin' with you Screamer, but outta curiousity, do any of your plans ever work?"

"Up to a point," he grumbles, still glaring at the Autobot. "And one will work through completion one of these days! You'll see!"

Watch out, 'bee. He might be fixing to go into a full on monologue here.

Bee rolled his optics. "Keep tellin' yourself that Screamer. Maybe if you say it enough times it might actually come true. Wouldn't bet on it though."
