Hail the Conquering Heroes
Things can happen without Stacy knowing, that much is apparent now. The damage to her sensors is significant. But the fighting clued her in.
After it's all over, after those captured have been rescued, after the injured have been tended to, only the nest is left, and Stacy takes care of it.
||Infestation of Cluster 42, Level 4, Sector 7, Sublevel 12, Zone 37 has been detected. Triggering internal defenses. Decontamination commencing.||
There is a pause.
||Decontamination complete.||
Simple as that, once she knows the problem was there. Her internal sensors are damaged, especially in the city, and so are some of the systems monitoring them. You have to know what's broken to know to fix it.
Such a simple thing and it only took one man dying to make it happen. (His body is gone, by the way, ripped to shreds and eaten. There's not even a spot of blood on the floor. That's the bugs' doing. The bugs' bodies are gone too--that's Stacy's doing).
||Any injured personnel that still have not received medical attention, report to the nearest lift, and you will be transported to the MedBay. Any uninjured personnel, report to the Living Area, to the restroom facilities to undergo decontamination of xenobiological material. Then report to the Obs Deck to meet your new crew-mates.||
Said crew-mates--and the Doctor, who'd skipped out and miraculously ducked and weaved his way to the lift when he'd realized the Master was there--are there and waiting, and just a tad confused.

He had been about to ask Brainy and Robin, but...
"Wrong people to ask. Okay, well most guys who aren't kinda prudish nerds look at that kinda stuff. Don't tell her. Provided we even survive the whole Superboy Prime thing, I'd like to get laid more than--I mean, I'd like to get laid someday."

"...Said too much. You're all blasty from the pasty like Rob, aren't you."

Kon stopped.
"He nearly killed me." A pause. "Actually, he did kill me. They had to do CPR on me and everything, and I was dying but Rob got ahold of something from one of Luthor's old labs to stabilize me. Prime said I didn't deserve to be Superboy, that he was going to replace me."
Another deep breath. "When I come from? The world's coming apart at the seams. It's big. Other worlds crashing in the sky, Revelations kinda stuff. Bludhaven got all--and there's a war in space, the thing with the satellite, the supervillains--everything is happening at once, people are dying--it's big. And Prime's part of it. I got yanked here right when me, Nightwing, and Cass were going off to stop him. Once we get out of here, we'd better be able to go back to the time we left or...well..."
Another pause, as he looked down at Robin surreptitiously. He'd been talking very quietly. Kara would've been able to hear it clear as day, with her super-hearing, but he didn't want Robin to hear.
"Don't tell Rob, okay? He's from before I am, and you know he'd freak, but you know how it is with time stuff. I almost wanna tell him everything to warn him but who knows how that'd mess with it. What if it made it worse?"

"So, I see you've made friends with Brainiac 5. Exactly how hard did you hit him when you heard his name at first?"

He was going to say 'escape,' but didn't, lest she was listening.
"We need to find access to the ship's systems and that likely involves finding egress out of the area we're currently being kept in, into one of the ship's blocked off sections. We should start looking for what seem like possible closed entrances to other areas. Either our kidnappers will be in those areas to be dealt with, or if this ship is unmanned and on a preprogrammed course we may be able to reverse that course to deliver everyone safely home--although in my instance, I want to see if it can be used to pluck the Legion from the timestream if the others aren't already on board in stasis."
