A House Divided [Part 2]

[Instructions: Here.]

The fighting begins in earnest, as bystanders get dragged in, have to duck out of the way, or join in to help out, but with more people entering the fray, there's even more chaos.

Buildings have been cracked, a nearby fountain has been smashed, causing water to pour over the ground and make things even more of a mess.

Can anyone, Security or the Conspirators, keep the situation under control?

Metal skull or not, Marcus has a human brain and it's fairly fragile. When his head hits that very solid wall, everything just... shuts down, and he collapses to the ground unconscious.

First thing Samus did was check to see if he really was unconscious. Once confirmed, she called up Leon.

«Stopped one going for the Yeerk. Unconscious now.»

Cassie still wasn't sure if Marcus had been fighting to kill the Yeerk or to save it but she still ran over. She had to. It was instinct.

Even if she knew nothing about how Marcus was constructed. Just because he wasn't human didn't mean she could just ignore him. If anything, she felt more obligated to help him and no, not for that reason you guys, geez.

"Are you awake?" She asked, crouching over him.

Nope, he's definitely not awake. His CPU has begun running diagnostics, but the part of Marcus that'd be able to respond to a question like that is out cold.

"Oh %@#*." Cassie muttered, turning his head gently so she could see the damage. Well, his metal parts looked sturdy. "I hope your brain is as metal as your face." Damn it, she had no idea what to do.

Marcus doesn't need a lot of help at the moment, really. He's waking up, and one eye glances over and up at Cassie (coincidentally, the glowing red eye), but he doesn't make a move to get up.

His head is killing him.

That was as good as it was creepy.

Cassie smiled. "Hey, can you hear me? Don't try to move yet."

"... yeah, I hear you." Marcus says quietly, his voice rough. He doesn't feel much like moving at the moment, which is probably a good thing.

"O.K. I don't mean to sound rude but do you have a spinal cord? Or something like it where I might hurt you more if I try to move you?"

[identity profile] tasted-death.livejournal.com 2009-09-12 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
... that's a good question, and it's not one Marcus is sure he has an answer to. "I'm fine." he insists, sitting up with a wince.

"Slow down, you took a bad hit. You might have-" Easy Cassie, he probably is fine. "Let me help you up." Cassie put her arm around him. He was probably really heavy considering his skull was made out of metal but at least she could make sure he kept his balance.

And she could always grow big if she needed to support his weight.
