A House Divided [Part 2]
[Instructions: Here.]
The fighting begins in earnest, as bystanders get dragged in, have to duck out of the way, or join in to help out, but with more people entering the fray, there's even more chaos.
Buildings have been cracked, a nearby fountain has been smashed, causing water to pour over the ground and make things even more of a mess.
Can anyone, Security or the Conspirators, keep the situation under control?

Sam managed to make it a few more feet before the weight of Lafiel--as slight as it may be--tripped him up, sending him face first into the pavement. He groaned as the air was knocked from his lungs and it took him a few seconds to regain his composure, kick himself free from her grasp and get back on his feet.
Damn it. He was only down a for a moment. But it was long enough for Leon to get even further away...and even closer to where the Yeerk had landed.

It was a flesh-BBQing laser though and it had no 'stun' setting. She thumbed it back over to illumination mode and pointed the powerful searchlight at him, hoping to blind him. In retrospect, this may have been a dumb idea but it seemed clever at the time.

"What the...," Sam said, bringing hands up to block the blindingly bright light. He took several swings, trying to knock the thing from the girl's hand, missing both times.
"Oh, F* this," he cursed. There was a better way of dealing with being blinded by a bright light--look the other way, especially when the other way was the direction that Leon had run off to in search of the Yeerk.
Twisting around and turning his back on Lafiel, Sam charged forward, resuming his persuit of Leon.
