A House Divided [Part 2]
[Instructions: Here.]
The fighting begins in earnest, as bystanders get dragged in, have to duck out of the way, or join in to help out, but with more people entering the fray, there's even more chaos.
Buildings have been cracked, a nearby fountain has been smashed, causing water to pour over the ground and make things even more of a mess.
Can anyone, Security or the Conspirators, keep the situation under control?

Re: Waiting for the medics
"I am taking you to safety, and stop hitting me! You are injured, and a battlefield is no place for the injured to lie."
He swears in Styric as her arm catches him a blow on the side of his head. "Even damsels would have better sense than you," he grumbles, resisting the urge to jostle her a little, just to get her to stop hitting him. Ow.
Re: Waiting for the medics
Redfields are on occasion capable of using common sense.
However, when Sam kicked Jo's gun, she happened to see where it landed, and making her way through the crowd went to retrieve it. She was heading back to the fallen officer when she saw the guy toss her over his shoulder. Unable to help the smirk on her face she intercepted the pair on their way out of the crowd.
"I think she can probably still walk, you know." she commented, before tilting her head to get a look at the woman. "I think you dropped this." She held up Jo's gun so she could see it, although she didn't hand it over, since she could tell by the other woman's face she wasn't exactly the happiest person in the world right now.
Re: Waiting for the medics
Oh hell no!
"Hey! Just put me down and I won't have to kick your a-" Though she didn't get a chance to finish what she was saying (and maybe that was a good thing), as Claire trotted up to them with Jo's gun!! YAY! Claire had found Jo's gun!
"You found it!" Jo commented with a grin, before digging her elbow into Sparhawk's back. "You heard her, I can walk just fine. It doesn't even hurt anymore!" LIES, it still stung like a mofo, but it wasn't bad enough to keep Jo down.
Re: Waiting for the medics
"Thank you, Lady," Sparhawk tells her honestly, before muttering something unpleasant as Jo once more attacks him.
"She can walk, but she was walking in the wrong direction for someone who is injured," he explains to Claire, now ignoring Jo. And still holding her on his shoulder. "I will not let her down until I am satisfied that she will receive medical attention, and not run off to make her injuries worse, or receive new ones."
Re: Waiting for the medics
"I think I saw someone healing up ahead, I'll see if I can drag them back here so you don't have to drag her all the way, okay?" She's trying to help you Jo, really. She just knows a stubborn guy when she sees one.
Re: Waiting for the medics
"Last I checked, I made my own decisions!" Jo snapped, elbowing Sparhawk in the back of the head just to get her point across. And yet he was talking about her like she wasn't even there!! Bad idea Sparhawk, Jo does not like to be ignored, more so by dudes who are lugging her around.
She's really had enough of this. Yeah she gets he's trying to help her, but really all he's doing is pissing her off. Maybe later she'll feel bad for what she's about to do, but... Yeah, she wants down and he won't do it. So.. She'll make him.
She lifts her leg and quickly brings it forward, and her knee connects with his crotch. Now she didn't kick hard enough to injure him, but she did do it hard enough to get his attention and to get the point across that she means buisÃness!!!
Re: Waiting for the medics
Unfortunately, it's extremely hard to ignore a knee to the groin. In his armour, Jo would have probably hurt herself. As it is, a plantsuit doesn't do much to cushion the blow. A startled grunt of pain is given, and Sparhawk's grip on Jo slackens as his instinctive reaction is to protect/comfort the abused area.
At least she didn't shoot him there, but at the moment, that's small consolation. He was only helping!
Re: Waiting for the medics
Re: Waiting for the medics
She rolls her shoulders and winces as the salt rock that's embedded in her back burns. "But, as soon as things settle down, I promise I'll head straight to medbay..." See? She promises!
Re: Waiting for the medics
"I will hold you to that promise," he states coldly, "Although I am sure that your team leader will not be pleased to learn that one under his command thinks so little of herself, and of him, that she must run back into conflict, no matter how wounded she is,"
Yes, Sparhawk will be talking to Leon about you, Jo.
With a bow of his head to Claire in another acknowledgment of thanks, Sparhawk stalks off, a slight hitch to his stride. He could be doing more to help, rather than trying to help a stubborn woman.
Re: Waiting for the medics
"You sure you don't want to at least rinse that stuff off? The fight could probably do without you for the minute it'd take to get that salt out." As much as she hated Leon being down a man, the insurgents were still relatively outnumbered by security.
Re: Waiting for the medics
Looking over at Claire and then to over where the action was, her shoulders slumped a little. SHe was right of course, and well in a way so had Sparhawk... Difference? Claire wasn't trying to damsel in distress her!! BIG difference.
"I guess I won't do the team any good like this, will I?" She took a deep breath and swung her gaze toward the City exit. "I guess I can go up to the medlab and get them to dig some of the salt out at least..."
