A House Divided [Part 2]

The fighting begins in earnest, as bystanders get dragged in, have to duck out of the way, or join in to help out, but with more people entering the fray, there's even more chaos.

Buildings have been cracked, a nearby fountain has been smashed, causing water to pour over the ground and make things even more of a mess.

Can anyone, Security or the Conspirators, keep the situation under control?

In any other case, Tim would agree with her. He knows he should agree with her, and until this whole mess, he had.

He settles into a defensive stance, his staff at a ready position. "Go ahead. I'm not that easy to move."

"Oh really?" Jean asks as an amused smile slowly appeared on her lips.

She lifts her chin, staring down at him before sending a telekentic push his way - which would more than likely send him flying several feet to the left.

Tim lets out a little shout of alarm as he's jerked suddenly off his feet and tossed--by no apparent means--out of her way. He lands on his feet (all that training has to be good for something), but he's eying her warily as he approaches again.

"Telekinesis?" he asks. Kon's is... a lot different. A lot more tactile, and... honestly he has no idea how to fight his woman. This isn't really like anything he's had to deal with.

"Yes..." Jean pauses and looks over and frowns at Tim. "Are you seriously going to try and stand in my way again?!" Either this kid was very brave or incredibly stupid, she wasn't sure which one it was.

Go with brave.

"Neat trick." He gives her a wry smile, even as he braces himself to get thrown again. "And yeah--I am. Because in this case, I think it's the right thing to do."

Jean sighs and shakes her head. "That's really too bad, but you're really not leaving me any choice here..." And with that Jean sent another telekinetic push his way, which this time would send him in the opposite direction towards the wall of a nearby building.

He goes flying--as he had expected--and lands hard against a wall. Which hurts.

A lot.

"Ow."

He'd protected his head, but the rest of him is really missing the armor that normally comes with the Robin getup. He staggers a little on the landing, but rights himself, and then he's looking around for Jean again.

Was this kid for real?! Jean looked back at him and she really doesn't know what to do. She really does not want to hurt him.

She turned and faced him and listed a hand, motioning him to stop where he was. "Be smart..." She paused for a moment and focused on him. "Think really hard about this, Tim. I don't want to hurt you. Please, just... just stop."

Tim gives her a wry little grin. "I will if you will," he offers, rolling his shoulders a little to work out the stiffness from being knocked against a wall. "We can call it a draw."

"I have a job to do, so there really is nothing to call a draw over." She gives him a suspicious look. "You are are nothing if persistent..."

"It's one of my charms," Tim says, the grin widening just a little. He gets it, though. She can't give up any more than he can. There won't be any hard feelings on his part when this is over.

On any other day, they'd probably even be on the same side.

"If you say so," Jean murmured. He was right though, neither of them could really give up. But she didn't have time for this! She focuses on him and with her mind send a slight push of telekinetic energy his way - which would push him up against the wall behind him and hold him there.

"You are getting in the way of me getting to those who need medical attention. That is why I'm here, incase you and your friends plan got anyone hurt. Which it did." She paused and studied him again. "Now, are you going to stay out of my way?"

He doesn't bother telling her that he hadn't been part of any kind of plan. He's a part of this mess, for better or worse. That's not what caught his attention anyway.

"You're a doctor?" He gives her an impatient look. "You could have said something. I don't want to interfere with anyone getting medical attention."

"I wasn't aware I needed to explain why I was here," Jean snaps back, her eyes narrowing a bit. She lets her hold on Tim drop though, even though she was tempted to leave him pinned against the wall.

"Now stay out of my way," she instructs him and turns, heading right into the middle of the big fight.

He gives her a brief salute before turning back to damage control. It's gotten a lot worse since he first confronted the red-headed doctor.

Damn it, it was never supposed to get this bad.
