A House Divided [Part 2]

The fighting begins in earnest, as bystanders get dragged in, have to duck out of the way, or join in to help out, but with more people entering the fray, there's even more chaos.

Buildings have been cracked, a nearby fountain has been smashed, causing water to pour over the ground and make things even more of a mess.

Can anyone, Security or the Conspirators, keep the situation under control?

Metal skull, now that was interesting. However, there was no time to dwell on it, no time for Samus to concern herself with more oddities about the enemy, that would have to wait.

Samus moved back quickly. She didn't want to give Marcus the chance to do the exact same maneuver on her. In fact, she doesn't even wait for Marcus to strike back. Before he can, Samus running at full force with every intention of shoving him back into the very solid wall behind him.

If that worked, they'd be even.

Metal skull or not, Marcus has a human brain and it's fairly fragile. When his head hits that very solid wall, everything just... shuts down, and he collapses to the ground unconscious.

First thing Samus did was check to see if he really was unconscious. Once confirmed, she called up Leon.

«Stopped one going for the Yeerk. Unconscious now.»

New orders, she quickly got to work.

After her fight with Marcus (http://community.livejournal.com/trans_9/128242.html?thread=9427186#t9427186), Samus contacted Leon with a status report.

«Stopped one going for the Yeerk. Unconscious now. Making sure to stop anymore.»

"I know, right? I could have done without the reminder for you know, forever?" Kate grimly remarked to Vision.

"Cassie! Careful, the grownups are being stupid again." She ducked, and was trying to play crowd control to help with those trying to get away.

"I can do unpredictable."

They want a close fight? Fine. He twists into Rose's pull, aiming to drive his right elbow into her ribs while at the same time block Leela's kick with his other arm. He has a good grip on the rifle in his left hand, finger's off the trigger but he's not letting go of it. It's a decent bludgeon if it comes to that, much as he'd rather it didn't.

Cassie still wasn't sure if Marcus had been fighting to kill the Yeerk or to save it but she still ran over. She had to. It was instinct.

Even if she knew nothing about how Marcus was constructed. Just because he wasn't human didn't mean she could just ignore him. If anything, she felt more obligated to help him ~~and no, not for that reason you guys, geez.~~

"Are you awake?" She asked, crouching over him.

Tim gives her a wry little grin. "I will if you will," he offers, rolling his shoulders a little to work out the stiffness from being knocked against a wall. "We can call it a draw."

"Zhat is an exposed area!" Blitzwing snapped impatiently. "You vould do better under cover, if jou vanted to vatch!"
He dodged a projectile and peppered the area around him with plasma fire.

"I have a job to do, so there really is nothing to call a draw over." She gives him a suspicious look. "You are are nothing if persistent..."

Claire had been for the most part, observing and trying to help with the crowd control. She wasn't really a part of any of it, and while part of her was screaming to get involved, she knew unarmed she'd just mostly make herself a target.

Redfields are on occasion capable of using common sense.

However, when Sam kicked Jo's gun, she happened to see where it landed, and making her way through the crowd went to retrieve it. She was heading back to the fallen officer when she saw the guy toss her over his shoulder. Unable to help the smirk on her face she intercepted the pair on their way out of the crowd.

"I think she can probably still walk, you know." she commented, before tilting her head to get a look at the woman. "I think you dropped this." She held up Jo's gun so she could see it, although she didn't hand it over, since she could tell by the other woman's face she wasn't exactly the happiest person in the world right now.

"It's one of my charms," Tim says, the grin widening just a little. He gets it, though. She can't give up any more than he can. There won't be any hard feelings on his part when this is over.

On any other day, they'd probably even be on the same side.

"[I assume this has something to do with the trial,]" Jonas explained to Cassie. "[Right now, we are attempting to get as many people out of the line of fire as we can. I am under the impression that the leader of the Security team does not want our help in this beyond that.]"

Probably including that, but if Leon expected them to sit this out quietly, he had another thing coming.

Taking her to safety! WTF! Seriously, WTF?! Who the hell was this dude anyway?! Did he seriously think it was OK to just pick her up and drag her away from the action?

Oh hell no!

"Hey! Just put me down and I won't have to kick your a-" Though she didn't get a chance to finish what she was saying (and maybe that was a good thing), as Claire trotted up to them with Jo's gun!! YAY! Claire had found Jo's gun!

"You found it!" Jo commented with a grin, before digging her elbow into Sparhawk's back. "You heard her, I can walk just fine. It doesn't even hurt anymore!" LIES, it still stung like a mofo, but it wasn't bad enough to keep Jo down.

The Ax-clone that was Tobias walked over and checked on Ax with his main eyes, his stalk eyes keeping alert behind him in case he wound up having to use his tail blade.

< Ax? You all right? > he asked. He regretted that Andalites didn't bend down easily but he managed to kneel to check for a pulse.

Booth is rather surprised. "Who, what the...Uh, hi. Who...or what are you?" he asks. "Apparently the mob is divided over what to do with the slug thing, the Yeerk. I'm just not entirely sure how I feel about it."

*I wonder what Bones would think of this?* he thinks to himself. She's missing it all.

Worf tried to twist away from the kick, managed to turn it into a glancing blow. He cursed quietly his breath and darted forward, aiming a low kick at Ronon's knee.

"If you say so," Jean murmured. He was right though, neither of them could really give up. But she didn't have time for this! She focuses on him and with her mind send a slight push of telekinetic energy his way - which would push him up against the wall behind him and hold him there.

"You are getting in the way of me getting to those who need medical attention. That is why I'm here, incase you and your friends plan got anyone hurt. Which it did." She paused and studied him again. "Now, are you going to stay out of my way?"

He doesn't bother telling her that he hadn't been part of any kind of plan. He's a part of this mess, for better or worse. That's not what caught his attention anyway.

"You're a doctor?" He gives her an impatient look. "You could have said something. I don't want to interfere with anyone getting medical attention."

"I'm Will," she answers, wondering how to identify herself for later. "Normally I'm shorter. And don't have these."

She points to the wings, which don't appear to serve a purpose other than ornamental. She certainly isn't flying with them.

"Divided about what, what are they going to do with it?" This is a very vehement fight, and Will is pretty afraid she understands why.

"I wasn't aware I needed to explain why I was here," Jean snaps back, her eyes narrowing a bit. She lets her hold on Tim drop though, even though she was tempted to leave him pinned against the wall.

"Now stay out of my way," she instructs him and turns, heading right into the middle of the big fight.

He gives her a brief salute before turning back to damage control. It's gotten a lot worse since he first confronted the red-headed doctor.

Damn it, it was never supposed to get this bad.

Lafiel dashed after him. Her light but long bone structure made her quite fast when she needed to be (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iojiP5FHuC8&feature=related) but what would she do when she got to him?

See that look that you're getting, Claire? That is a look of extreme gratitude.

"Thank you, Lady," Sparhawk tells her honestly, before muttering something unpleasant as Jo once more attacks him.

"She can walk, but she was walking in the wrong direction for someone who is injured," he explains to Claire, now ignoring Jo. And still holding her on his shoulder. "I will not let her down until I am satisfied that she will receive medical attention, and not run off to make her injuries worse, or receive new ones."

Claire really couldn't help smirking again at Jo's attempts to get free. It was really a comical sight, but this wasn't really the time or place, so she glanced ahead of them, chewing the inside of her lip for a moment.

"I think I saw someone healing up ahead, I'll see if I can drag them back here so you don't have to drag her all the way, okay?" She's trying to help you Jo, really. She just knows a stubborn guy when she sees one.
