After the most recent pod-pop had been completed, Stacy began encouraging the crew towards the Obs Deck. They would be most effective if they were familiar with each other, and as the Jaime Reyes Incident had proved, leaving them to meet whenever they happened to cross paths was not effective.

Anyone who stepped into the Hub would be transported to the Obs Deck, no matter where they had intended to go. Those who had been exploring the City were verbally herded towards the Hub, although the energy tentacles did not make an appearance.

The Obs Deck hadn't changed very much since they'd last been there. The creepy sculpture was still present, as were the fleshy couches. However, the couches were arranged in a more obvious circle this time.

Come and meet the new -- and in some cases, weirder -- members of your crew.

"Buffy!" Ax said loudly, face clearing. "Yes, I've seen that show. Marco put it on and hid the remote; he said I was watching too many soap operas."

It had been a decent show, although they had kept insisting that the creature they were fighting that bore the most resemblance to a male Dez-Reenur was some sort of demon. But the humans had never come in contact with that particular species, so excuses could be made.

"Yes," Ax answered, noting Xander's expression and frowning. "Was that wrong? Guh. Ron-guh."

"Just that it included details about my life and my friends? I'm not even sure how much that Whedon guy got right on any of it."

Ax considered this for a moment and then shuddered violently. "I should not have mentioned it. I apologize." Finding out that there was a television show or something about him and his friends in another universe would certainly be disturbing.

"I only watched a few episodes," he said in the hopes that it would placate the older man's worries. "Wuh-tched. Tch."

Xander shrugged, "Eh, you didn't know, and not like I had a choice." Even in the multiverse, he can be stuck as the buttmonkey. Grrr argh indeed.

Well, apparently this man was not familiar because he was a Controller. He could still be one, but that wasn't why he was familiar.
