Excerise is good for you! [Open!]

While Diana was never one for overly exercising, usually doing just enough to keep herself in her wonderful curved shape, she did see that the whole ‘clears your mind’ thing was somewhat accurate.

And her mind felt very crowded. Plus, she couldn’t argue the disadvantages of being in top physical condition when the ship went to heck for the millionth time.

So, she deck out the sensorium into her own gym. A bit of running, then maybe some swimming with Jinx if she texted her to come over.

True, by the end of this day she’d most likely be over worked, sore and far too tired, but that almost meant she’d want nothing more than to drift into a dreamless sleep without any weight of past event or futures worries.

Provisions had recently discovered the wonders of sky dancing and so spent him time diving and twirling in the air high above Diana’s head, apart from when she was shooting, then he would peck at the ground near her feet to avoid the possibility of stray bullets.

Jinx had been pleased to get Diana's text if only because it was an excuse to ignore the way the ship seemed to be falling apart around them. Part of her wanted to be more involved in the plot to overthrow their alien overlords, but that part of her was mocked and locked away by the part of her that valued her own safety above others.

So when she entered the elaborate gym that Diana constructed she whistled with approval and easily found her way to the pool.

Glancing around for Diana she smiled laying her eyes on the the oh so attractive clever girl who had...undeniably, become a fixture in her life in the months that they had known each other.

Spotting Jinx, Diana swam to the edge of the pool, resting her arms on the cool, slippy tiles and smiling that teasing smile at the other girl, dark long hair soaked, strings falling out of the messy bun she'd tied it up into. "Hey."

As usual, Pro swooped down to greet Jinx by gazing the top of her hair with his talon, making a noise that very much resembled cackling.

Jinx barely flinched at Pro's greeting having gotten used to it. Instead she smiled at Diana and peeled off her dress revealing a swimsuit underneath.

"Having fun?" The long legged girl peeled her stockings off next leaving her clothes on a nearby bench.

Diana smirked and pushed off away from the edge to start doing a backstroke across the length of the pool.

She finished undressing and conjured up a mirror to admire her swimsuit, a cute functional purple thing that accented her slender gymnast form. Not being particularly curvy she didn't fill out a two piece as stunningly as Diana did but she was still very pleasing to see.

She undid her hair ties last shaking out the soft pink locks and slid into the waters with a smooth graceful bend diving in with her fingers pointed. Very professional.

Long pale legs propelled her in the direction Diana had drifted and she took a moment to appreciate the stark crispness of the water. Being the Sensorium she could even open her eyes without fear of chemicals in her already pink eyes. It was a shimmery blue scene of dancing lights.

A few steady kicks brought her back to the surface, pink hair plastered around her head like some kind of aquatic plant.

Diana's usual smirk was there, but something similar to a very soft chuckle escaped her mouth as she brushed some of Jinx's pink locks from her forehead.

"A good swimmer too? I really lucked out, didn't I?" She began floating around Jinx in a circle, eyes twinkling playfully.

Jinx couldn't help but blush a little from the praise, it was a habit she was noticing happened more and more around Diana for different reasons. When they had first started spending time together it was how forward and confident she was that made Jinx's pale cheeks turn rosy. Often she would try to give as good as she got from Diana in the flirtation department.

But lately something had shifted between them. As morbid as it sounded it had begun when she returned from that awful catastrophe of a mission. The one Howard didn't return from.

Either way Jinx was finding herself particularly sensitive to Diana's special brand of charisma and charm and it was making it hard to brush off all the little touches and looks that before had more potential to just be part of the game,

Were they still playing the game? Or was it something new?

Either way she winked, "One of us did that's for sure."

Diana rolled her eyes and dove under the water, swimming between Jinx's feet and surfacing behind her, tossing back her hair in a very mermaid-esque fashion.

She flashed Jinx a challenging smirk. "So, is that the best you can do or are you going to impress me with a real dive?"

Jinx's eyes lit up with the thrill of a challenge and purred playfully. "Always happy to try and impress you."

A rope lowered from above as Jinx set herself up to perform the feat and she curled her long fingers around it rising out of the water as it lifted her. Water glistened off her slender gymnast body, her foot planted on a rung that was at the bottom of the rope. She looked like an acrobat in the circus being drawn up to perform.

When she reached a significantly dangerous looking height, the kind that would make armatures and even some novice divers think twice she began to twirl on the rope.

Her leg wrapped around it and she arched her back gracefully while she spun, one hand on the rope the other extended out like she was reaching for something. Then suddenly but as smooth as water running down a pane of glass she slid down the rope till both legs wrapped around the solid rung and and her arms and body hung upside down to smile at Diana below. The lights dimmed and her eyes began to glow as the flexible girl began to rock back and forth, swinging the still spinning device in what would appear to the untrained eye to be out of control. But Jinx had everything well in hand.

Her legs released and Jinx performed one graceful flip in the air before her body pointed down and she plunged like a missile. She corkscrewed and then slid under the surface with a minimal splash.

The count of five and she slid along the bottom of the pool before popping up next to Diana again her cheeks flush with the excitement of a well executed routine.

Diana watched Jinx's entire performance with exasperation. Of course, Jinx had to take it over the top. She'd only asked for a dive, maybe some fancy tricks, not a full on show.

And she'd not been best pleased when the lights dimmed, the idea of swimming around in the dark was not a pleasant one.

Sighing, she kept her eyes on Jinx as she waited in the middle of the dark pool, hoping she didn't get landed on.

Provisions had been startled when he'd found Jinx entering his air space, clipping her hair again in greeting and circling her, crawking in his way of asking why she was up so high.

At her spinning, Pro croaked eagerly and began copying her, making twists and turns in the air until she launched herself towards the water. He followed, flying around her and twitching his tail as he rolled, inviting her to sky dance with him. However, when she seemed more intent in falling to her death, he suddenly released her lack of feathers would make pulling up from her dive impossible and began squawking out a warning.

Diana had to admit it was very impressive, heck, it was amazing. But it was also reckless and foolish. Any number of injuries, fatal injuries, could have happened during that little show, and Diana did not like the way Jinx had made her heart clench when she plummeted towards the water, or the relief she felt at seeing Jinx's slender form gliding beneath her, or the way her mouth was currently agape in wonder at Jinx's display.

When Jinx broke the surface of the water, Diana had made use of the time to collect herself and put on a very skeptical and unimpressed look, saying just a single word to the pink haired girl. "Overkill."

Provisions, who'd pulled out of his own dive just in time and landed on the tiles at the edge of the pool, gurgling nervously as he waited for Jinx, celebrated her success much more openly, flapping excitedly and crowing to the ceiling.

Jinx laughed at the review of her performance and lit up her eyes once more since the lights were still dim. "I'll dial it down next time then. It's easier to do things like that here in the Sensorium. In real life there probably would have been a few more difficulties making the rope do what I wanted. I hope it was at least entertaining overkill."

Diana didn't answer, instead she looked around them and focused on bringing light back to the pool, this time underlit.

Casting Jinx another look, though this time it was rather unidentifiable, she resumed swimming across the pool.

Jinx's smile fell and she sank a little deeper in the water with a sigh. "Well can't blame a girl for trying." a deep breath and she drifted floating on her back, bits of her torso and toes sticking out of the water while she paddled with minimal effort now. the score probably read something like Diana: 584, Jinx: 0

Diana did a few more lengths of the heated pool before dipping below the water again, this time swimming underneath Jinx's whole body, brushing against her lightly before appearing next to her.

One of the rare moments occurred where Diana's mouth curved into not a smirk, but a playful smile and her eyes twinkled. Suddenly, a small wave was splashed onto Jinx's face. "I guess that 'elusive' skill you brag about isn't so effective in water."

Jinx couldn't help but blush and smile curiously as Diana touched her under the water. It was confusing at times how she worked, but intriguing, enticing. Undeniably so.

Then she was splashed and blinked a few times startled by the sudden shift to playfulness. It brought a deeper smile to her face and she splashed back. "I am a woman of many skills. They can't all be at their best at the same time." She shot back jokingly.

"A 'woman' playing a very childish game." Diana countered. "I'm pretty sure I've seen you at your best in the most important areas." She teased, leaning in closer and winking to confirm her implications before pulling back to splash Jinx again.

She knew this was just... silly, but it appealed to a part of her she'd tucked out of sight long ago. Besides, this was one of the points of having Jinx around, right? Fun.

Provisions cawed his approval of this new game and began flying around them.

Jinx's cheeks bore the marks of being flustered but delighted by this new side of Diana and she returned in kind swimming after her and splashing water right back in her direction.

"And you're the only one who's seen me when I'm that good~"

"Good doesn't mean great." She teased cruelly while they splashed each other.

Provisions began cawing so hard from the side of the pool, you could swear he was cackling.

Diana winked. "You know I don't mean it. Much." Despite how childish the whole thing was becoming, Diana couldn't deny there was something so thrilling and fun about actually being able to let loose, even for a short time. There might have even been points where Diana laughed or gave a small squeak of shock when she was splashed with cold water, not that she would straight up admit it.

"You're secret's safe with me." Jinx called in a playful musical tone continuing their splashing battle, her long limbs proving useful in this match. The same girlish childish laughing, shrieks and squeals of delight echoing in the pool. It was undignified, it was unprofessional. And it was so much fun.
