Brutality! [ITA]
Day three of the tournament. With less than half of the entrants remaining, and many of them having grown substantially in power with their conquests, the fighting was building to a fevered pitch destined to end in a crescendo of glory. But this far out, it's still anybody's game...

Maxim vs. Four-Glass-Walls
Re: Maxim vs. Four-Glass-Walls
Maxim tilted his head to try and hear his opponent better, but for the moment, all he heard was the dripping of condensation as water hit rock.

The voice came from down by his feet.
From a Gila monster that was looking up at him.

Maxim supposed that he shouldn't let that surprise him. Or catch him with his guard down, for that matter, so he backed off a bit. It wasn't as if the Gila were glowing or anything, but that sure didn't mean he wasn't dangerous...

Recca Hanabishi vs. Dr. McNinja
Vadum vs. Hana
Re: Vadum vs. Hana
Nevertheless as his first fight he stood tall in his armour, unlit energy blades in each hand as he let his gaze finally rest on his opponent. Dipping his head in respectful greetings as he would all opponents in such an arena. He would fight to his utmost no matter the foe.
Re: Vadum vs. Hana
But the spark of excitement in his eyes and the small sword gripped tightly in his hand said otherwise.
Re: Vadum vs. Hana
"Ready yourself, do not think I shall hold back," he warned with a dip of his head to his opponent before dropping into a combat crouch, igniting both blades. His shields at their maximum, invisible at the current moment as he stalked towards his opponent getting into range so that he could leap into combat when needed.
IM SO SORRY! I thought I'd replied to this!
Not to worry! I know the feeling there don't worry about it.

Mark vs. Cole
Re: Mark vs. Cole
...If it weren't for the fact that he was about to take on a teen kid.
"Hey", he asked. "Out of curiousity, what exactly can you do?"
He figured that since they were both on the crew, no harm asking.
Hit Girl vs. Erhart
Re: Hit Girl vs. Erhart

His stance is betraying a degree of annoyance. Fighting a shipmate is NOT his thing.
He's already got some chains on him, strangely, but they don't look like factory chains. Devotional chains that connect his Black Blade to his gauntlets. An oath never to let his weapon go, until he victorious, or dead.

She took a breath, then finally spoke. "Big Daddy, set up."
Set up, the barrier jacket replied, and hit Girl felt the pulse of power, the staff appearing in her hand. A costumed girl with purple hair and a barrier jacket was in itself a fairly rare sight, but it was not these things that made one pause. It was the clawed right hand she had, a reward for lasting out Alex Mercer.

Ruffnut vs. Beastboy
Re: Ruffnut vs. Beastboy
Re: Ruffnut vs. Beastboy
"You call this cold?" Laughed his opponent coming out from behind some rocks. "This is nothing. You should visit MY home sometime...ya know, when we get the planets all put back the way they belong." She grinned despite her tripping over her own bragging and hit her chest with a fist. "If you're going to be a baby about it then go ahead and give up now, because whining just annoys me."
Re: Ruffnut vs. Beastboy
The Green Polar bear snorted in defiance and dug his claws in, rushing at the viking with a roar. His claws proved to provide excellent traction on the floor while his fur drank in what precious little light was offered and converted it to heat like a greenhouse.

Bight/Crucible vs. Jack Rakan
Re: Bight/Crucible vs. Jack Rakan
Once those two spells had been cast, his gaze settled on his opponent, his bearing as confident as ever though battle ready. He would save transforming into his true form until it was needed. "A fine day for a fight, wouldn't you say?"

"I see little sense in holding back at this stage," he draws his sword up and sets himself into a fighting stance, spells ready in his mind, though appearing ready to engage the other in melee.
