All work and no play makes you a dull boy! [Open Post/Event]
Who: Splicer, and anyone ever! Yes that means YOU!
Where: Hunter's Pad
Summary: Party till you drop, release some stress, just have fun!
Warnings: Open party event, discretion is advised!Excessive partying
After the announcement over the network, Splicer set off to break out the snacks he had stored, the drinks and set the out on the club floor. He wanted people to have fun and enjoy some care free time. Morale had been fluctuating as of late and a good head kept the troops going in times of strain. What better way to pick up morale than a good fun time with friends and just kicking back and doing your thing?
That's why he was now occupying his booth and taking any requests for the people that came by, greeting and waving at fellow crew and friends. He intended to make this as fun as possible for each and everyone. Good times seemed to be scarce in the future to come, so he'd do his best to make this one of the good ones.
[[OOC: Open event post, feel free to post an open thread for your character, or post to someone who's already there! You can make requests at the DJ booth, and you can choose to interact with Splicer as well, just make sure you put it in the header. Other than that, just have fun!]]

At the change of pace and music, Ronnae smiled, giving her friend an approving look. "Yup! Just enjoy yourself, that's what this is all about." she mused with a timid smile.

She rolls her eyes shut and tries to follow the beat with her hands and body, unconcerned with what any onlookers might think. She's just here to have fun, right?
no subject
She followed through by dancing closer with Anwei, she was going to have as much fun as they could! That was the purpose of all of this!

She opened her eyes and turned her body towards Ronnae, trying to match her moves.

Soon enough, she was right on Anwei, dancing much closer than before and practically gliding and guiding her along the flowing dance.

"See? Lots of fun," she mused with a light giggle. "I'm really glad you're around again and am happy to have some leisure time together."

It's a little unsettling, how Anwei speaks of Death as though she was talking about an old friend she would be meeting soon.

"In Her name, you promise to try and lead a long and interesting life. And if your Gods do not receive you kindly, She promises to take you to a place of safety and truth, where you can stay forever without want or lies."
She cocked one eyebrow, and her voice gets a little cynical. "And if you think that is a way for people to duck out of an afterlife destination that is not to their liking, that's quite often the case." She certainly wasn't planning on returning to the toothy embrace of the Gods she had been raised to worship.

"So she was like the guide of your soul in the afterlife regardless of where you ended up at?" That would mean that she would have jurisdiction here, in Stacy? She wondered...

"And considering," Anwei wiggled a little with distress, out of sync with the music, "that the Gods I was raised up to follow are quite unpleasant - you know the type, amorphous and leprous and squishy and devouring-all-in-their-path sort of ickyness, I'll be quite happy to skip their afterlife." Said afterlife involved gorging yourself endlessly on screaming flesh. Bleh.
She'd appreciated being excommuniated.

Now that she mentioned it, "Would you be happy with going back to your world? If we win and what we've been promised is true..." she asked curiously... and immediately after narrowed her eyes in thought. If they overthrew the Daligig... would they still be able to get back their worlds?
no subject
Her eyes looked wistful. "There are a lot of people there that I would miss. Debts unpaid, if the world is restored I should return to pay them. But we need more information!" She moved her hands as though slapping around an invisible face. "We need to know what happens when a universe vanishes - where does all that energy go? What happens to the place where it was? Do the universes around it expand to fill in the empty space, or is there something else there?"
"But if all we can accomplish is to stop the Ohm, and save uncountable lives and life in universes they will never touch," she spun in place, hair drifting, "that will be happiness enough. Even if my own dead, stay dead."

However, her chest felt tight now... The thought of not being able to see her family again was something she'd been pushing to the back of her mind since her arrival here well over a year ago.
no subject
But maybe, if the worlds were restored...if there was a way to go back in time...could she...?
No. She couldn't, not ever: that wound was too raw. Better not to think of it. Instead she poured her attention back into the dance, trying to lose herself again in the music.

"I... I think I should go sit down." she managed to voice out holding her head. She did however, look up and smile weakly. "I think I haven't let myself have enough sleep... I am g-grateful for your time with me A-Anwei."
no subject
"Can I get you something to drink? Maybe you're just dehydrated."
no subject
She sat down and rested her head on the table, feeling a bit miserable. She had been trying to hold back any mental exhaustion and yet the simple thought of not seeing her family again was a like driving a hot poker through her chest.
no subject
"I suppose a lot of people are feeling pretty worn out right now, eh? With the fighting, and with the repodding. But really, you should take time off for yourself to sleep at least! Maybe you can get Billy to rest as well." A little twinkle in her eye there.
no subject
"It's hard to get him away from work. In a way, we're both the same in that regard." She looked over at the people who were trying to enjoy themselves and having fun and she smiled weakly.
"It has been a very tiring ride I'll admit... And I only fear that things will only get tougher." she sighed and shook her head before forcing a smile.
"But we gotta keep moving forward right?"
no subject
Her eyes rolled outwards in thought for a moment. "And if we wear ourselves out now, we won't have the inner resources for when the final stretch comes. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We need to pace ourselves, take pleasure when we can," she waves at the other dancers, "and help each other, every step of the race. The prize is too great for us to do otherwise."
no subject
"You know... y-you're right... I g-guess I never thought about it that way." She let out a small sigh and relaxed in her chair. "Maybe I should go home and sleep for once... maybe I'll actually get more than a couple of hours."
